4th Annual Turkey Lane Turkey Trot Race a Success
The Hinesburg Land Trust's 4th Annual Turkey Lane Turkey Trot, held on Sunday, November 25th, to raise money for the Copp-Welch Phase II open land preservation project, was an even bigger success than last year.
It was enjoyed by all that participated in this event. 32 Runners and 22 walkers, walkers with dogs, and kids on bicycles participated in this 4.25 mile race, over a hilly and pleasant course. 36 women and 18 men competed. Their efforts raised $540.00 for the Hinesburg Land Trust.
The day was warm and windy which helped the runners in the race. The Bolduc family from Montpelier dominated in the running event. Damian Bolduc won the men's division a time of 25:58. Jessica Bolduc with a time of 33:33 won the women's division

Marielle Aunave, Burlington, 32:12
Sandy Dupuis, South Burlington, 34:31
Other winners were:
Robin Edelman and Carlie Geer, both of Hinesburg in a dead heat for First Walkers across the Line
Ezra Pouch, Hinesburg, Children's Bicycle Division
Bell's Maple Syrup, Hinesburg and the Ski Rack, Burlington provided prizes.
