1st Annual GMAA-CVR Challenge

The 25th Anniversary of the GMAA was celebrated in style at the Catamount Family Center. 47 people attended the event (29 GMAA, 10 CVR and 8 members of both clubs) with 36 choosing to run the hilly and hot but fun cross country course. Each member of the three person relay teams ran 1.8 miles (how they fit 3 good size hills into that distance is beyond me!) and carried an unripe banana as a baton. After the relay event all feasted on homemade cookies and brownies from Andrea Houlihan, Cathy Eustis and Annie Follett, Ben & Jerry's ice cream and other brought treats. Six past/current presidents of the GMAA attended included GMAA founder and life member, Leighton Walker.
