Jack Curtin 70 Years Alive & Doing Fine Tribute Race

Somerville, MA, October 4, 2001

Hosted by the Somerville Striders Athletic Club

It aint easy makin' it to 70 years of life..lots of luck involved, no walking under ladders, keeping away from black cats, and always stay away from marathons...Jack Curtin followed the first two but sneered at the third one by running a marathon as his first organized race way back in the 70's when "bell bottoms" were worn as a statement not as fashion...and the only caffe latte you could find in Somerville was at the long forgotten & missed Venice Cafe.

The Logan Post 5.1Km 1st year anniversary was co-celebrated with chocolate/peach cake, Jameson whiskey and loads of laughter.......see ya next week.
