Ecothon 2000 Draws Record Field

Thanks to all runners and walkers for participating in the Wilds EcoThon 2000. The third annual event held on April 29 attracted a record 206 10K runners, 275 5K runners, and over 350 5K walkers. Among the talented field were residents from eight states with ages ranging from 8 - 74. Participants were treated to sunny skies, outstanding course conditions, refreshments, and views of African, Asian and North American wildlife on the safari tour. Proceeds from the event will help fund the Wilds Rhino Management Center.

The Wilds thanks the over 100 volunteers and staff members whose hard work made this event possible. We also express our sincere appreciation to our sponsors and refreshment contributors for their generous contributions toward this event.
