It was deja vu for the third time as Gate City Strider Brian Bigelow defended his title at Freeze Your Buns 2000 5K #4 held in Litchfield, New Hampshire on March 5. Bigelow's 17:28 broke his own record by 40 seconds.

Strider Deborah Smith took top honors among the women, after finishing 2nd and 3rd in her two other tries. Her 21:05 gave her a 1:15 margin over 13 year old STrider Amanda Pelletier.
