Scott Colton Break Course Record

The 4th Annual Phantom 4 Run & Fitness Walk was held at Dyer Park in West Palm Beach. Scott Colton broke the four mile course record by 31 seconds with a time of 20:46. Colton held the previous record in the four mile race with a time of 21:17. There have only been two winners in the past four years, Scott Colton and John Reabock. Reabock won the first and third year and Colton the second and this year. They have not competed against each other in this race. Maybe next year. Sue Molloy won the Women's Division with a time of 23:19 and was sixth overall. In the Kid's Mile Run Rorigo Quint finished first amoungst the boys with a time of 6:28. Valerie Porter was first in the Girl's Division with a time of 7:14 and was third overall. In the Fitness Walk Jimmy Boyd in the Men's Division and Cathy Edelman in the Women's Divisions cross the finsih line first. There were over 300 runners, walkers and kid miler's running in this years event. The costume contest went to Braveheart! Next year's race is scheduled for October 20, 2001.
