To be able to race you must secure one of the 1100 numbers that will be issued. Most are by random draw. A few are reserved for elite or invited runners, last year's award winners, any former race winners, and those with unbroken streaks since 1984. Multiple entries from the same person will cause rejection.

Here is the Lottery Acceptance List

Only people who are on this list are entered in the race.

If you are on the list but do not receive an email notification by March 31, that contains the payment instructions, please send an email to racetime@gsrs.com with your full particulars including your full name, address and confirmation number. You have until April 10 to pay. Thank you for your patience.

There will also be a section for groups of up to 5 people to sign up together. These groups will be treated as one lottery draw and will all get in together if accepted. Sorry, but 5 is the maximum this year.

Time Limit
Official timing ends at three hours. Please do not enter if unable to complete the course in that time.

Friday, June 15, 4:00 - 9:30 PM at Eagle Mountain House in Jackson. Saturday, June 16, 8:00 - 9:00 AM in tent at base of Auto Road, Rte. 16 (Pinkham Notch), between Jackson and Gorham. Friday check-in is appreciated.

Transportation Down
Plan ahead! Each runner is responsible for his/her own ride down. Follow the instructions in the confirmation letter.

See Race Week Information for additional information.

Weather on the mountain can be severe. Bring plenty of warm clothing. There will be traffic on the course during the race.

Emergency Plan
Although the race has never been cancelled or altered due to extreme weather conditions, the possibility exists. Under such conditions, every effort will be made to hold the race, but the director reserves the right to delay, shorten, or even cancel the event to provide for the safety of every runner. Since most expenses are incurred prior to race day, no refunds would be possible.

No "pick-up" teams please. RRCA or USATF clubs, established clubs, school teams, or business teams only. Men's Teams-5 Score. Women's Teams-3 Score. Master and Senior runners will automatically "score down" into younger team categories, too. Each team member must write the team name on the entry form. No team lists will be accepted.

Official Shirts
An official race t-shirt will be included in the race packet. If you wish to order additional shirts, fill out the section on the entry form and enclose the additional money with the entry fee. If not accepted, all will be returned.
