WHERE: The race starts and finishes from the Boys and Girls Club of Salem located at 3 Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH 03079.

TIME: The race begins at 1:00 PM.

HOW MUCH? Entry-fee is pre-entry $15, post-entry $20 (by Oct. 17).

SWEATSHIRTS: Awesome multicolored SWEATSHIRTS guaranteed to all pre-entrants. Post-entrants will be awarded either a sweatshirt (depending on availability) or long sleeve tee.

AWARDS: Over 150 Awards! Limited edition awards designed to commemorate the inaugural running of this year's event will be awarded to the top 5 finishers overall and top 5 finishers in each age division (15 and under, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over, Wheelchairs & Dead Runners' Society category). Age division winners will receive awards via mail within two weeks following the race.

AMENITIES: Mile and half-mile markers, digital clocks at each mile, multiple aid stations, computerized race results, changing & shower facilities and FREE parking. Results will be posted on Cool Running (www.coolrunning.com) on the evening of the race.

POST RACE: Join us for our post race party. Festivities will include a large spread of refreshments, live music and raffles for great merchandise. .

REGISTRATION: Mail the completed entry form with entry fee to: The Shirt Factory Five, 24 Keewaydin Drive #3, Salem, NH 03079. Registrations will be accepted on race day at the Boys & Girls Club of Salem.

PACKET PICKUP: Race number, sweatshirt and race information can be picked-up at the Boys & Girls Club of Salem on October 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Packet pickup is also available on race day beginning at 11:00 A.M.

DIRECTIONS: The Boys & Girls Club of Salem is approximately 30 minutes from Boston. From Rte. 93 take Exit 1. Continue straight until you cross Rte. 28, this brings you onto Veterans' Parkway. From Veteran's Parkway take your second left after passing the Salem Police Station onto Geremonty Drive. The Boys & Girls Club is located approximately .5 miles on the right. All turns will be clearly marked and there will be signs directing you to designated parking areas.

COURSE: USATF Certification pending. THIS IS A VERY FAST COURSE! In 1986 Lynn Jennings set a American Record on this course when the race was the Screen Five. We have assembled the original Screen Five race committee along with several new members to bring you another GREAT race.

RESTRICTIONS: For safety purposes, baby joggers/strollers, roller skates, in-line skates, bikes, skateboards and dogs will be prohibited on the race course.

Earn a Souvenir Shirt for You and a Friend: George Sheehan once said the difference between a jogger and a runner is an entry form. We all have a friend who runs regularly but has never entered a road race. Help us promote the sport of running by convincing that friend to enter the Shirt Factory Five. If you sign-up a first time racer, we will award you and your friend with a special souvenir t-shirt in addition to your sweatshirt. First time racers will have special color coded numbers identifying them as a novice racers and making them eligible for special prizes. To take advantage of this offer we MUST receive your application and your friends application in the same envelope no later than September 15. REMEMBERING THE SCREEN FIVE: The Shirt Factory Five is a rebirth of the famed Screen Five Road Race held on the same course from 1983 to 1986. During this time, the Screen Five grew from a 900 entrants to over 4000. If you ran any of the Screen Five races bring one of the original shirts to registration and we'll give you a special gift.
