This new challenge is a collarboration between three Merrimack Valley Road Races with a common vision of encouraging friendly competition between small and large Corporations within New England
During 1996 (Inaugural) the three races involved in the challenge are:
Groton 10K, MA April 28
Yankee Homecoming Newburyport, MA 5K July 30 (The 10 mile is not part of the Corporate Challenge)
Reg Marden Sunday Run 5 mile Andover, MA September 8
Two reasons, the races directors all know each other and work well together and the three races are volunteer based with the proceeds from each going to good local causes.
Any business with three or more employees can enter a team in the any one or all three of these races.

Can a runner send a entry form in separately or must it come as a company entry?
It must come in on a company team entry form (attached to this page)
Can a company send in multiple teams in the same age/gender catagory ?
No, however a company located in multiple sites can choose to enter multiple teams, provided they indicate this clearly on the master entry form. For examply Century 21 could have an Andover team and a Pepperell team or just one team.
Can a runner enter a Corporate team on race day ?
No, all team entries must be received by the appropriate deadline, 2 weeks prior to race day
Where do companies send the entry forms ?
The address pertinent to each individual race.
Where do you get an entry form ?
Can a runner enter as a Corporate Team member and a Running Club team member ?
No, one or the other
Can a runner enter the whole three races with one entry form and check?
Not this year, maybe next.
Do the same runners have to run in all three races?
No, but each company must be represented in all of the races to be eligible for a Corporate award. Please note there are no Corporate individual awards this year, only team awards.
Can a company only enter one race ?
Yes, of course but will not be eligible for a Corporate award.
Can a runner add themselves to a Corporate team or switch from a standard entry to a Corporate entry after the 2 week pre-race deadline ?
No
Can a runner who has already entered on a standard entry form be included in a Corporate team ?
Yes, provided the team captain sends a written request to the appropriate race director prior to the 2 week pre-race deadline, requesting the inclusion. No refunds are possible in this case.
Can a Corporate runner win an agegroup or open prize or award in the race ?
Yes, they receive the same benefits and award opportunites as other runners
How does the Corporate Challenge series differ tothe individual race Corporate awards ?
Each of the races has its own Corporate awards, however, the series has its own set awards which will be presented sometime after the final event in the series.
The entry fees have been discounted provided the entries are received on the company form 2 weeks prior to race day. The team captain enters for free. The Corporate entry fees for advanced registration are as follows:

I know that running is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and runs unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in the event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive the release the Organisations and volunteers holding the races, the towns and cities in which the races are held, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in the waiver.
