Can anyone else see the information in my running log?

Not unless you want them to. All of your log information is completely private, and it may only be accessed with your user name and password. You may share your log with others by setting up a sharing password. To do this, go back to your running log and click the "preferences" link at the top of the yellow portion of the page. On your preferences page, you can turn on sharing and establish your sharing password. When visitors use this password to view your running log, they have read-only access -- they may browse all of your workouts, but they may not add or edit any workouts.

How long will my log entries remain online?

As long as you continue to use your running log. Individual running logs may be removed if no new entries are posted for more than six months. You will be notified via e-mail before this occurs, however.

Is there any limit to the length of my running log?

The only limit is the number of runs you can muster! You may log as many entries as you like. The only limit is in the length of your comments, which may be no longer than 300 characters (approximately 50 words) for any given entry.

Can I download my running log data?

Yes. You may download your running log data as tab-separated text, suitable to import into Excel or another spreadsheet or database program. To do this, click the "Tools" button at the top of most running log pages.

Can I log more than one workout per day?

Yes. To do this, enter each workout separately. For example, if you did a running workout in the morning and a swimming workout later on the same day, create an entry for the running workout and submit it. Then create an entry for the swimming workout for the same date and submit it. Both workouts will appear in your log under the same date.

How do I log interval sessions?

Sorry, but the running log does not have a specialized format for entering interval workouts. There are two admittedly clumsy workaround for this:

  • Enter each repeat as its own workout, listing the time and distance of each interval.
  • Enter the entire set of repeats as one workout, estimating the total time and distance, and list your interval details in the comments section.

How do I track how many miles I've put on my running shoes?

The running log does this for you automatically if you enter which pair of shoes you used for each workout. When the workout is displayed, the log shows the total number of miles added to the shoes up to that date (this tally is located in the right-hand column of your weekly log display).

How do I add or edit the list of running shoes, workouts and sports in my account?

You can edit these settings by clicking the "preferences" link at the top of most running log pages. The preferences page allows you to edit your settings for the running log, including running shoes, workouts and sports.

How do I find my fastest times?

Click the "Tools" button at the top of most running log pages. From the tools page, you can use the PR Finder to find your best times in every distance you've ever run.
