My 800m relay (in which everyone runs a 200) did sooo well this weekend! Last week (at our very first meet) we ran a 1:44.81 and were the best in the area and region. Last night we ran 1:43.51 and blew away the competition; it was so awesome. I anchored, and as I crossed the finish line, I turned around and all the other teams were still running! I mean, our relay has always been good, but this year...we're good good. And it's early in the season, too. We're hoping to get in the 1:40 range by May...that means state. We were also all tired when we ran that time last night because all four of our relay members had competed in six events, the third leg and I had competed in the Sprint Medley DIRECTLY before this relay as well. Sorry for braggin' , but it's just sooo exciting!!!! Our 800m relay and our Sprint Medley (in which I run the 400m leg) qualified for Texas Relays, so that'll be fun. Anybody going to Texas Relays?

Pretty fast time at this point in the season. For a reference, the CT record is: Girls 4 x 200m Wilbur Cross 1:42.81 6/14/02

Congratz RunnerBabe. Great times. Our 1600m relay team did pretty good at our meet. I ran a 52.7 and we placed 2nd overall (we did not race the 1st place team). I also placed 2nd in the 800m with a 2:01.13 (again I did not race the 1st place guy who ran a 2:00.64 I think). But anyways, whose are some great times your relay ran and congratz again.

Much smaller state and Texas has had a long history of some very fast sprint times. But some of the state records are pretty fast. The boy's 400m record is 45.01

We ran a 1:41 this week! We kicked @ss WITH the most pitiful, awful handoffs...but the next team that came in was at like a 1:45. We're goin' 1:39 at region and hopefully 1:38 at state!
