Im going to have to go with Living Sacrifice - the hammering process. Some good death metal with a grind/speedcore twist.

The best song to run to is "The Lonliness of a Long Distance Runner" by Iron Maiden

I am trying to get the 180 foot strikes per minute thing down, so I have created a tape of tunes that run at 90 beat per min. They are not necessarily motivating for running, but when I run on the tread mill, I keep the nice steady 180 rhythm...

The tough of the track and the wind and the rain that's beating down on your back and your heart's beating louder and goes on even more till the sound is beating in your head with every step you tread determination make you run never stop gotta win gotta run till you drop....
good song, based on the novel and movie out of england in the '60's.

My favorite music for running is Metallica. The Black Album, And Justice for All... They keep me pumped and going the distance! I love them. Or anything with a fast loud tempo...

Mortal Kombat soundtrack. Great repetitive beat, though I guess if you're a fast runner it might be a little slow...fine for me though : )

Jimi Hendrix comes to mind...."Purple Haze," "Fire," "Foxey Lady," "All Along the Watchtower," "Freedom," and "Vodoo Child" will pump you up. Also, his version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" is incredible. As I'm an 80's guy... "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood "Hello Again" by the Cars "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash "Middle of the Road" by the Pretenders "I love Rock 'n' Roll" by Joan Jett "You got Lucky" by Tom Petty "Sunday, Bloody Sunday," "New Year's Day," and "Pride" by U2 And if you really want dizzying, hard-core, motion music, try Phillip Glass' "Koyaanisquatsi." Warning, though, it's not for the untrained ear.
