Lit Up by Buckcherry. "I love the cocaine. I love the cocaine." Just good hard rock. Most of the stuff that has been mentioned here I listen to on occasion. Usually, it is an audiobook. I'm listening to "Anansi Boys" by Neil Gaiman right now.

I assumed that I would find SOMEONE with my random tastes! Oh, well...maybe I'll spark an interest out there somewhere Currently on my shuffle: A Little Less Conversation - Elvis Eminence Front - The Who Theme from the Sopranos - A3 No More Drama - Mary J Blige Tell Me Why - Will Smith Single - Natasha Bedingfield (don't tell my husband) A Little Bit More - Jamie Lidell I forget what else, but that's pretty representative. i like sorta angry or upbeat rock music to run to. i'm a huge fan of early 90s and late 60's. just sort of "discovered" how good this song is: GO by Pearl Jam. the lyrics go like this "oh please don't go out on me, don't go on me now." i sing this part out loud to my achilles, knees, and shins while i'm on my long runs. even though i don't think that's what eddie vedder intended, it works for me. i love "start me up" by the rolling stones as the first song in all of my running playlists. there are so many great ones.

whoever said maximo Park ... a sincere thank you. I took a bunch of suggestions and randomly added them to my mp3. yesterday I was dying @ mile 2. then this band came on & reminded me of the violent fems (sp?). I liked it and blew through the last 3. thanks again, this site rocks![This message has been edited by melistic (edited May-03-2007).]

Here's a good one. "Burnin Love" by Elvis. How can you beat lyrics like this one when you are running...."It's hard to breathe. My chest is heav'n. I just might turn in to smoke, but I feel fine." ------------------ "Every passion has its destiny." - Billy Mills, Olympic Gold Medalist, 10,000 meters, 1964
