Now, you've maybe gotten me in a bit a trouble ... LT's going to ask, while twirling her hair, "Why, dear Randy, couldn't you take me THERE??? "The White Dog Cafe was close and still nice. But this Eulogy looks so much better, by twice." We just didn't have time for a real pub crawl. It is on the other side of town, after all. When you come back, we will give it a shot. I just hate having to cross the city when it's hot. ------------------ Life is Short ... Make Fun of It. 400 Beers

I went solo over the holidays and that is when I brewed the Cowgirl. It was back to small batches and I may start to bottle again. I like the convenience of a keg and the decreased amount of oxygen that it comes in contact with, but it isn’t very portable and my kegorator broke. Am looking forward to hearing about the Belgian/corriander ale – I haven’t done a Belgian yet.
Okay goindownsouth - back to your question. This was my previous post and I am too lazy to re-write it. The Wise A$$ altered Wide A$$ is what we have brewed most often. This year I am looking to do another brown ale and try a full-mash of something. I may even brew a dark porter that I can bottle and hand out around the holidays.
You?

La Tortuga: A buddy of mine and I have brewed just about everything under the sun. Our fave is a "Pegasus" IPA, made with a good bit of hops... The hazelnut porter is excellent as well...

Hello beer thread people. I've been so absent. What have I missed? I think the last time I posted was last week, last Friday or Thursday? And here's what happened: we went for a forty mile bike ride, and when we came home our neighbors downstairs got us wildly drunk on pomegranate martinis, that segued into all of the beer in their house and all of the beer in our house, much of it quite good (the Chimay went, and the porter) and not a bit of it do I now remember. I think I have to go re-buy the Chimay and the BBC porter on principle because I didn't intend for it to be consumed in oblivion. Not that I'm complaining, really, because it was a lot of fun, but what a waste of money! We could have been drinking anything. THIS is why in Buffalo, people buy beer by the case. I noticed people rarely get drunk in the beer thread. I'm like the sometimes-regular who shows up and suddenly gets drunk and starts making loud remarks. Today, in un-beer related news, is the the day I get my hair cut and re-highlighted. Please understand my excitement: it's been since November, and now I have two inch roots (it's highlighted so it's not as dramatically noticeable as a dye job) and it's way long and I just look like a no-longer young hippie chick, walking my dog with my crazy-pants hair.

Hi BeerBabes! This weekend, we head to Utica for the much anticipated Boilermaker 15k.Race culminates in a massive open beer garden for 11,000 runners and their guests. It will be mid 80s, sunny, and FX Matt Brewery will provide the suds. The local hashers plan a Sat nite hash as well as a post-race party party. Everyone is bringing beer and food. After reading RunMonkey's report, I will likely just bring Miller Lite for that, as by then, nobody will care what it is. We have 4 DD vans to haul our bods about the city for the weekend. This is my first time there and I'm getting excited. Hope everyone has a terrific weekend. Good weather, too!

Now THAT sounds like a blast! Enjoy the 15k, as well as the recooperative festivities thereafter... FX Matt has some good offerings. Me? I have a plain old training run slated for tomorrow morning. But there will be some beer in it for me tomorrow afternoon.

Yup, for the second year in a row... It is such a great time had by all. The German Oompah band, the food, the beer, of course. Heck, the first beer I had was their Eisdopplebock, at a mere 18% and change... Too, too smooth... Now that there is breakfast in a glass, my friends...

If you can manage getting through a whole case without getting bored with it, or distracted, certainly not. Plus, there's more there to share. However, I always find myself reading about something new in here, ASN or MABN and get the desire to switch, mid-box, so to speak. For instance, I have a six of Sweaty Betty leftover and will most likely get Victory Sunshine or Whirlwind or maybe Circus Boy on the way home. It's possible that the case I bought last week won't be finished till next week. Not that it matters ... it's just OCD again.
