Who skips? Randy or TRM? Or is TRM allowing Randy to skip?

I just got this in an email quote:
I think wheat would ruin the taste but that's my opinion. Beer made with wheat is like oatmeat made from wheat or wheaties made from rice, it makes no sense. Does Kellogs use wheat for corn flakes? Beer = barley!!!

*sigh* Sometimes, you just have to accept the fact that there's more of them, than there are of us. * And there's two "g's" and an apostrophe in "Kellogg's", besides.

I think that we all know at this point that I am much more of a Gilligan.

Not blaming you at all, blaming the NASCAR-drinking wheat-aphobe. "wheat-aphobe" Ooooohh, I like it.

Welcome. How's that Spaten? I drink all my homebrews out of a Spaten mug but have never actually had one.

He has written for Zymurgy so I don't think he's a NASCAR-drinker. I imagine he's more of a barley snob than a wheat-aphobe. Remember, NASCAR beer has rice that is a rung below wheat on the grain snob meter.

I stand corrected ... well, after a trip to the chiro anyway<badum-dum> Now, I always forget whether it's St. Pauli or Beck's which throws the "adjuncts" in there. When one has the "reinhotsfugeddabowdit???"

Hey, thanks for coming in. Nice choice by the way. Stick around 'til October for the annual Spaten/Hacker-Pschorr/Paulaner Oktoberfest debate. It's loads of fun.

Beck's is the one that used to advertise they followed the Reinheitsgebot. They also used adjuncts but since the law allowed them in beer that was exported they were not violating the law.

Nope - they were sold clean out at my local source. I ran home - took my one remaining bottle out of reach from the general public and have it stored away in secret - only to be enjoyed for a very special occasion.Who knew that someone was going to swoop in and buy them out? Hi everybody. I only stop in here now and then but wasn't sure if I gave reports on the recommendations I got (although I did give you all a shout-out for your good suggestions in a flightless beer thread that started in the Clubhouse). Dodo of beer threads.Anyway, per the suggestions, I tried Lost Sailor and really liked it, and I tried Arrogant B@stard and REALLY liked it, in fact, I bought it more than once. It was very rambunctious, I like a beer that fights going down. I also picked up a six of Sierra Nevada's Big Foot which came into our house to mixed reviews. When you're not used to drinking beer with actual body, it's kind of surprising, like melted ice cream. I could tell technically that it's 'good' (meaning: complicated, interesting. A thinker.) but I don't know if it's really to my taste. I think I like more summery beers. It's gloomy outside though, so I might have the last one and see if we can come to an understanding. My boyfriend, incidentally, said drinking it was 'like being raped by Bigfoot.' NOT a fan. Still haven't found that juniper ale mentioned. Any other recommendations you guys have that are maybe bitter, crisp, dry, maybe a little interesting fruity undercurrent.....I'm interested. Also (see, I don't stop in much, so I'm long winded). I'm kind of ignorant about how to talk about beer so if I'm describing things like a beer illiterate that's because I am. Please be kind.
