LT, did you forget to put the outside lights on???

I don't think anyone knows we're open.

No one's been in for days.

BTW: I put 12 versions on "Long Black Veil" into the jukebox, for you.

Here's one by Phil Lesh & Friends - 11/22/2005; New Jersey Performing Arts Center

Phil Lesh, Chris Robinson (vocals, guitar)
Larry Campbell (guitar, mando, violin, ps, etc)
John Molo (drums), Mookie Siegel (keys)
Barry Sless (guitar+pedalsteel)

TRM is training

MM is working or some such thing

IR has been MIA for ages

dpar was just looking for confirmation that beer is a health food

jtv invited you to a beerfest - what's up with that?

salathe came and went before we could even introduce ourselves

I guess it's just the two of us - unless Sarah Jayne comes back - I wonder who will be the lucky one there?

Well, if she does come back, I see it as a Win-Win-Win situation. You girls can man-bash together, you and me can do what we do, and the three of us can pick on Mike.

If it's going to be just the two of us ... leave the outside lights off, lock the door, turn up the jukebox, and let's dance!!!

I walked into the beer store last night and was greeted by an outstanding surprise. On the wall, just in side the door was a medium sized promotional poster, as beer stores will have. It showed a pint glass full of some darkish aleish brew on a black background. Printed on the glass was a very demonic red figure hoisting an old style mug. His left arm dangled out of the circular frame on the glass. Below, him the words, "You're not worthy"

The only other words on the poster were:
"The Arrogance Begins 3-20-06"

Vader turned to the tall red-haired man. With a gesture of his hand, he levitated the Englishman three feet above the creaky pine floor of the pub. A small, attractive woman gasped and hid her face on the bar.

"My impatience with you has out-lived your usefulness," the evil lord growled.

With a twist of Vader's wrist, the tall gentleman's neck cracked and popped. The lifeless body fell to the floor.

"That was mean. Mike was just trying to help," the petite woman said. She snuggled up to Vader, slid her arms under his cape and wrapped them around his waist.

"Do it again," she purred.

Does this mean going over to the dark side was a mistake after all? And my parents were so proud...

Hey, congrats on getting AB up there! I hope it ain't just a big anti-climax for you.

POMEGRANATE

Punica granatum L.
Punicaceae

A red, juicy succulent fruit, filled with tiny morsels of delicious treats. An extravagance, an indulgence, a delicacy, a pleasure and a delight.

I wonder how it tastes - in beer.

Be careful, Princess, you may acquire a taste for fruit in your beer.

Randy - that was so sweet - I always knew you cared. Now be nice and please put MM's head back on.

MM - I'm off for a few days - it's up to you to keep Randy from posting to himself. Also - you are required to listen to the posted song - irony at it's best.

"He was in the arms of his best friend's wife"
Dark - but so funny too

Which, BTW, is not the brightest idea; when you've been up 'til 2AM the night before, drinking lawnmower / NASCAR beer and doing shots of Irish Mist.

Randy,

You didn't miss much. It wasn't as good as it sounded. Yes it had some good brews (Chimay, Sam Adams Utopias, Brooklyn Smoked Porter), but there wasn't much of anything else. Michael Jackson didn't show as advertised (unless he came late on Sun), and the:

"Also, there will be the opportunity to sample cuisine from some of the area’s fine dining establishments."

turned out to be a crock of crab bisque from 1 local pub.

I take that you did NOT get your $25 worth.

Maybe you should have just gone up to Delilah's???

From what I have read it should be something light. I am thinking maybe a Kolsch. I might use a little wheat to lighten it up as well. Thoughts.

Sorry, I was out. I was at a Virtual Bar Management Conference.

For those who are wondering ... No, I have NOT had the Arrogant B, yet. I still have a case of Blind Faith to finish.

So which part was virtual, the Bar, the Management or the Conference?

You know it is okay to skip around. I mean jump from beer to beer, not gavotte.

On second thought I guess the proper response should have been you are not worthy!

I don't know, but there is a very experience brewer who hangs in Boomers and Beyond - "WillRunForBeer" - who may want to check in with him

Adding wheat sounds good - or maybe rye - have who used wheat in the past? I am sensing a summer brew here. Will summer really happen?

I may have a wheat beer tonight and see if I can speed the season up a bit.

And finally - "no" - I have never typed "you" when I meant to type "who"
