As do I ... just as long as you don't bring any dudes home, just chicks. Because, you know, I am a flaming heterosexual.

Colorado Cowgirl Brown Ale: a critical reviewIt isn’t a subtle beer, there are no hidden esters or flavors that come out when combined with food or whatnot. It is an open and at times an over-exuberant beer. Being a Brown Ale, it has some malty sweetness, that is balanced out by the hops and tastes better at room temperature rather than the ice cold mugs currently used some beer establishments. It is worth repeating that overly cold temperatures are not appreciated by this beer. There are three different types of hops that can be appreciated separately or combined, depending on the time of day, temperature or one’s mood. The finishing hops do have a habit of popping out unexpectedly and may not always be appreciated. Who wants to get a nose full of aroma hops when contemplating the boiling hops? It is the perfect beer to go along with a bowl of spicy, hot chili.

"Clown Boy" ... I saw that in the Spring MH assortment.I know I shouldn't be this way, but it's still a bit too cold around here to think about a lemony, wheat beer. Although my daffodils are peeking out, the lawn hasn't woken up yet.

We're just waiting for some new kegs to come in.This gives us some time to polish up the old brass, clean the glassware, vacuum, dust, empty the refrigerator, look for loose change in the cushions, scrape the gum from under the tables; stuff like that. Thanks for your patience.

There really isn't a difference. The difference is what you do with it not it itself. Granted some hop varieties work better as flavoring hops and some better as aroma hops; many recipes call for only a single variety. The longer you boil it the more it is a flavoring hop (see 90 minute IPA); a shorter boil (<15 minutes) and it is an aroma hop.

I was thinking...What if I eat a bunch of sugar, then drink a homebrew or an unfiltered, unpastorized beer? Would the yeast start to consume the sugar in my stomach and produce more alcohol, and CO2?

I don't know, about the enhancing the alcohol content, but sometimes - after consuming a particularly high-alcohol unfiltered Belgian-style from NY State, or some such - I do need to sneak that cheek a little more often. I want to apologize strongly for that, especially to the ladies.

MM - you don't have to apologize for everything, even if you are British. Oh wait - was that Randy apologizing - hmm. I should probably go get some coffee this is way too confusing for this time of day. Back to BEER. [This message has been edited by La Tortuga (edited Mar-08-2006).]

Ha! Yeah. Every now and again I miss a day or two (or three) here at the thread and I think "I should stop by and say hello". And then I read what's been going on and I think, "what the..." and go back to what I was doing. I love it, though - when I have time to sit and absorb it. Reading randy's posts on those days is like starting Ocean's Twelve from the middle of the movie.

Why would I want to do that??? The problem with self-improvement, is knowing when to stop.

It sounds like an interesting experiment, but I would prefer a shot of Kentucky Bourbon. Although it might not consume the sugar in my belly - it would make it really warm and happy. Beantown Pub - that the traditional place - no? Are you from the Boston area? Why don't I already know that?

That's right, Mike, or do you think it's ALL me??? I'm me; I'm LT; I'm TRM; I'm RunMonkey and sometimes, I might even be MikeMills. I've looked her over, but never over looked her. LT's small but fierce ... Don't get her/me/us mad ... Did you take the red pill or the blue pill this morning???
