Definitions needed here – slash knackered "void" – I just wanted to take a moment and compliment you on this one – neutropenic is another good one – go ask Lisa. As is hypohemia – check “The Simpsons” transcripts for that one cricket? – do people actually play this? Shove Ha'penny, anyone?

slash = void.knackered = very, very tired. cricket? – do people actually play this? - oh yeah, although it's very unlikely to make an impression in America. But actually I was talking about the darts version, which a lot of Americans are familiar with. Shove Ha'penny, anyone? = I dunno. Some sort of medieval drinking game, I think. Also called Shove Piggy Shove. Sounds like a riot!

"Shove Piggy Shove???"That's not the kind of language a polite person uses, unless ... No, there is no unless. It's just wrong.

But to your average American, it still sounds less gay than cricket.

Well yes and no.It's less gay in a "Let's all wear white, throw like a girls and try to hit the ball with a sawed off canoe paddle" kind of way. But ... if you add "Shove" "Piggy" together, it's very gay in a "lonely Appalachian men doing things we shouldn't talk about" kind of way. Which is far worse.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. Or is it location, location, location?

She's a saucy old bird, though. I bet she's had a gay moment or two (possibly involving cricket).

"We are poor little lambs, who have lost our way. Baa, baa, baa." quote:
The most famous Marine Corps fighter squadron of WW2, VMF-214, forever linked with its second CO, Pappy Boyington, went through three incarnations, three entirely different units, that used the same squadron number. The first VMF-214, nicknamed the "Swashbucklers", fought in mid-1943 in the Solomons campaign, under Major George Britt. Flying Wildcats and then Corsairs, this team claimed 20 aerial victories and included two aces. The second incarnation, the famed "Black Sheep" squadron, fought above the Northern Solomons and Rabaul, from August, 1943 through January, 1944. They shot down 94 Japanese planes, and counted 8 aces, in addition to Boyington.
