I have been courted by the owner of another training log to move over to his site (this has gone on for some time and has nothing to do with the Cool Running/Active move). I even tried his site for a time. But there is one thing that keeps me from making the move...he does not have an easy way to track my shoe mileage. I kindly stepped away.

While I don't mind (necessarily) the move to Active, I am concerned about what will happen to my log. Yes, everything should transfer fine, but according to this page (http://www.activetrainer.com/Endurance/Member_Benefits.htm) I will have to pay $9.95 per month to keep track of my shoes. That, I am NOT fine with.

Is this really going to be the case?

Thanks for posting this question dpeach! Glad to hear you've been a satisfied user of the CR Log.

On Active Trainer, you may store data on as many shoes as you like - for free. This includes storing data such as shoe make/model, purchase date, etc. You can also manually log mileage to your shoes via the tool. All this is part of the free basic package.

We are introducing some shoe tracker upgrades in the Active Trainer PLUS version, which will be priced $9.95 per month. However, this does not impact the core, free functionality.

Lastly, we have a lot of exciting new features planned! There will be two pretty major Active Trainer enhancements introduced before the end of the year.

We're excited to get your feedback on likes and dislikes. We've always focused on user feedback in designing the product. In fact, user feedback has largely guided the product enhancements we have scheduled for the rest of the year!

Thank you for your quick reply. I am very pleased to know that I will still be able to do shoe tracking with Active Trainer.

Will the new Active Trainer Basic integrate the shoe tracker into the training log, as does the CoolRunning Log, or will it be a separate function?
