My daughter is 10 and runs a mile in about 7 minutes and her 5K PR is 23:33. There's not many girls her age in this state that can beat her.

umm i only started running in 8th grade so i cant answer that for myself. However a 12 year old boy that i run with in my summer track team can run a 5:02 1600 and a girl that is going into 8th grade this summer ran around a 5:46ish 1600

I third the thought on the dictionary too. Not to be mean but it will help you in the long run anyway (no pun intended)

That 800 meter time would have finished 24th nationally at the USATF Junior Olympic meet held last weekend in the 11-12 age group, so yes that time is excellent. That 1500 meter time would have been 20th.

My son just turned nine and won his age division this past weekend in a meet in eastern Mass. His 1500 time was 5:50. His 400 time was 1:14.

Well I'm a guy, but right now my best mile ever is 6:13. I ran that this past track season. I was a seventh grader then. I had some injuries during and after track, and now am starting to drop time, but haven't ran a timed mile in a while...so we'll see.

My fastest mile time is around 6:00, but I haven't ran it in a while, but I've been training hard the last two weeks...

I'm going into 10th grade now and over the summer I ran a 4:20, before 9th grade I ran a 4:45, 8th grade was probably around 5:10, 7th grade 5:35, 6th grade 6:00. I'm a guy who has never done track but played soccer and lacrosse.
