have you had any negative feedback? Or is it just an old fashioned attitude these days to be "anti" the whole idea of tattoos?. As everyone here seems to think it's really cool I'm
wondering if anyone close to you has questioned if it was a good idea?

cheers

No body has questioned me on it...I've known for 2 years I wanted the 26.2. I've know for a few years if I've ever completed an IM I would get the M-dot.

Some people may thinks it's dumb. I don't care.

It's kinda like when I had gastric bypass...only a few people knew the details. My mind was made up. Didn't need to hear anyone's opinion beforehand.

Healing wise...the foot doesn't hurt now, but the m-dot is sore.

The foot hurt more than the m-dot getting in done, but it was QUICK. The shading on the m-dot hurt LESS than the outline.

my dad 58 and his brother 56 are in a big fight right now because my uncle, who I can't believe doesn't have one already, is getting his first tattoo Wednesday. My dad, the iron horseman, thinks tattoo's are wrong...

When I got my first one my bf at the time said he hoped I died of lead poisoning. My mom, when I said I wanted one, said she'd kick me out of the house, so I got it where she'd never see it; even though I'd already moved out. Which worked until many years later when she walked in the dressing room while I was trying on wedding dresses. Fight ensued in the middle of the dressing room of the bridal boutique. Then many moon's after that We had it out again while I was in labor, tattoo exposed to the world...
Anti-tattoo is still alive and well in my family.

Hope you dumped him.

I'm somewhere in-between. I don't like tatoos - would never want one. Don't find them attractive. On the other hand, if that's what floats your boat, have a blast.
