I biked 92 today and ran 2.8.

One dropped and RETRIEVED water bottle...no "abandoned equipment" penalty for me!

12 Mile run for me.

Ugh - it was gross too. We got poured on last week which was such a relief. No more la la land though, today we were definitely back in the real Houston.

Errr...now when I think of gross...I think of the dance party scene in Superbad...you know the one I'm talking about...

Geez KC I haven't run 12 miles in a row since...errrr...May.

Yah-damn footzie! Back on the running wagon again though...tomorrow I should get 9-10.

Not good considering I have an IM in less than 2 months...

2.4 mi swim, double what I had pledged. I got talked into two loops of the IMMoo swim course, instead of one.

Then 52.7 mi bike ride on the IMMooo course. Didn't get a full loop in, we turned around before the half way mark. Then a big debate about whether the course was tougher going normal way or backwards.

Good luck everyone! I'll be one of the run course marshals at the point where you either turn around or head to the finish from 3:45 to 8 pm tomorrow.

Well, I didn't know what I might be able to do, if anything this weekend, so I was hesitant to pre-pledge. But, I started feeling pretty mobile late yesterday morning. (Just in time for the pain to hit again after PT on Monday!).

I got a last-minute late afternoon invite from a friend who had a free lawn-seat ticket to Pine Knob to see my ultimate, all-time favorite AEROSMITH, last night which cheered me up hugely. I could not afford my fan club tickets, this time around, and after the accident, I couldn't even afford a lawn seat ticket. But my friend had an extra ticket, and refused my offer to pay, so off I went for a very fun, loud, rocking, wonderful evening. You can put me down for two crappy MGD light beers, which I always have at an Aerosmith concert, and I swear they never taste so good any other time.

I was so wound up I didn't even get to sleep until after 2:00, but I was awake by 8:30, sore, but feeling good, so I took off on a run, planning on around 8 miles. I told myself up to the 4 mile point that if I didn't feel good, I could just turn around, but I took it slow and workmanlike and ended up with 8.4 miles in 1:20. right around 9:30/mile, I thinkl so I am hugely satisfied by that.

I had the weird nerve sensations a couple of times, but they weren't painful, so I'd just slow down, and the sensation kind of passed along each time, although I have a lingering tingling there, so obviously all is still not well. But I am thrilled because this is easily my longest run since a couple of days before the accident. I finally felt like "a runner" again, and I am happy to be able to contribute my 8.4 miles and two rockin' beers to the IMWI tally!!

Edited to add:

Almost forgot I also had my first asthma attack in over 3 weeks, while running this morning. I was even almost happy to have one of those again, for it meant that I was exerting myself in this 67 degree/96% humidity weather.

I did my 1-mile swim Friday night, hope that's okay. I also finished my 7-mile run, except it became 8 when the weather was perfect for running.

Will log my ride miles once they're done.

Beverage log so far this weekend:
Wine - 3
Whisky - 1

Will surely add to the wine total today.

Just cause you guys went way over board -- that doesn't mean us racers have to make up the difference, do we?

Working on the RR but my totals for the day are:

Swim: 0.5 miles - RD shortened it from 1.5 due to some hellaciously windy conditions
Bike: 14.5 miles - shortened from 18 due to some permit issues
Run: 8.2 miles

Some GI issues on the bike.

1 pint of beer at a local brewpub and working on my first imperial pint at home while I sit and collect my thoughts for my RR.

Nice surprise to see my name here when i got back.

Pouring rain all through the HIM for me. It was 58-60 degrees.
I finished in 6:40! I had stomach cramps through the bike part, and they disappeared within the last 15 min. of the bike ride. The half marathon course was hilly; I was cold for the run (and soaking wet), and I struggled. But I am pretty happy right now. You will see some questions appear tomorrow! Thanks for all that support on this forum. I would never have been well prepared without you!

Saturday--10m run. I did it for you guys! Nuthin' in me wanted to do it, but I figured I pledged it, so I had better do it! Actually, once I was done, I was glad I had done it.

Sunday--101.9m ride for son #1 and me. Weather stunk, and tempting to wimp out and do the metric (62m), but again, I had pledged it, so I better do it...

Son #4 wimped out, so he and hubby did 18m each. Complete with hubby flatting out with no pump. (pump was on son #2's bike).

Sons 2 and 3 went ahead and did the metric half (32m).

Family total of 304m.

I've been really busy lately and I'm starting to taper down, but you can throw in today's 1400 yd OWS into the mix. If you're taking Friday totals, you can add 14 miles on the bike as well. Add in one beer and a glass of wine to boot
