It definitely wasn't a full 5K, but was definitely longer than 3 miles-probably in the last "mile"...that was my slowest mile of the race, and I thought I picked it up at the end!!

Please consider a Central Park 5k race on June 2nd - The Central Park Challenge, a Day of Hope to benefit the YAI/National Institite for People with Disabilities Network.

A few cool runners came out last year in the rain, and I hope that you will come out again -- and that it will be a beautiful day. Here are the details:

Register: www.yai.org/cpc - click "register" - pick run
Saturday June 2, 2007
Run registration opens at 7:30 a.m.
Run begins at 9:00 a.m.
Registration Fee: $20

You can create a team online and raise funds as well, and bring your family out for the Play. children's activity area. To see where the money goes, and to see last year's event, click the yellow "view video" box.

Results are in---3.0 miles as per NYRR. That's 4 qualifying races so far this year for me. Japan Day is next.

Hey Cara! I remember the race last year; it drizzled a bit, but it was still great. I’ll be doing the Japan Run on June 3, and I’m not sure whether I want to do 2 races in one weekend, but we’ll see.
