That is all you get - the little booklet. DO NOT LOSE IT. The back page of it is your Confirmation TIcket - you need to bring that to packet pick-up to get your bib and chip. If you look at it, there is a box that says "Personal Race Details" - your bib number, age, gender, wave, etc. are all there.

Mine was about 16 pages of 8 1/2 x 11, unfolded, printed one side only, and no little booklet. I was just wondering what came in yours. I'm not worried about getting my bib and chip, etc. I DO see that they have updated and given me a bib assignment on the online confirmation. 47.

Nice bib number! If that is your projected finishing place -- I think that they are off! Should be much lower!

there are always a lot of DNF's and DNS up front, not worried, I hope to beat the seed, but can't expect to be seeded in front of those who have run 225 and better.

Well, just got off the phone with my coach and I think I need to go change my pants! I think I soiled myself. He is throwing out numbers that don't even compute in my head. What the heck -- I am going to go for it!!!! So, you will either see a QUANTUM leap performace from me or a MAJOR blow up!

That should be entertaining either way!! Sounds a lot like my race plan for NYC - go out hard and hang on and pray to not die until mile 26.3! ------------------ Pacer Dude

Hey Twin Cities runners - are you ready?!? I am really looking forward to this weekend. I just hope we get some decent weather. We had to change our plans and drive home post-race. That 4.5 hour drive is going to hurt after running all morning!!I hope you are all feeling healthy and strong!! BTW - My husband just got his packet confirmation yesterday for the 10 miler. I think they were a bit slower in getting those out.

I feel ready but I don't like the most recent forecasts for sunday. A couple days ago the forecast sounded ideal, temperature in the forties with some showers. The last I saw they are now calling for temperatures in the seventies and the low temperature saturday night/sunday morning to be only about 68. It sounds like the conditions we had two years ago for the marathon. I think a record number of people dropped out of the race that year.

Yeah, I am trying not to concentrate too much on the weather. I was hoping for a big PR, but I will definitely adjust my goals if it really is 70 at the start. Hopefully it is far enough out to change dramatically again. Fingers, toes, legs, arms crossed..... Edited to add: At least according to the local weather reports, it should be overcast - that will make a big difference. [This message has been edited by runninlaw (edited Oct-03-2007).]

fwiw, it shouldn't hit 70 until after the race, and the forecast says cloudy so at least the sun won't be beating down on us. Not ideal, but for this Florida girl who hasn't felt 70F in 6 months, it could be worse.

I can handle a low of 54 I guess (that's what weather.com is showing right now)...but man I was really hoping for 40's. Then again, if you don't like the weather up there...just wait a few hours...so who knows what we'll really get!

The low actually is only 68. Shouldn't hit 54 until Sunday night. It will be warmer than ideal, but it could be worse. And don't forget that we are still a few days out - things can and probably will change. I just hope if it is rainy we get the rain rather than 98% humidity.

what forecast are you guys looking at? weather.com doesn't sound too bad at all. Low of 54... if we are running in the morning that's the temperature. It's optimal conditions for me and for most people. Ask the new world record holder...Or is it that the day will start hot and then it will cool down?

I think you are reading the forecast wrong. If you look at it, you need to look at the low for Saturday night to see how low the temps are supposed to dip. It says 54 for Sunday night (the lowest temp it will reach that evening).Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but that is how I have always read the weather maps. That is why they put the high first then low. Look at one for tomorrow and then click on hour by hour and you will see what I mean. With all of that said, again, it could be a lot worse.

yeah, runninlaw, I checked the day before and then overnight... yeah... they predict the low will be later... boo... well... it's kind of warm where I live so I guess I will be a little acclimated. It's not like a one MCM I ran when all the previous days were in the 50s and then suddenly, the race was in upper 70s... gee... We'll do fine, even with a sore heel... and no participant guide yet...

Hey, everyone - just wanted to pop in and say good luck. I, too, will be out there. It's been a while (2 years) since my last marathon. I feel ready for this one and I've never run this course before. I'm a little worried about the weather, like most of you, but there's no changing it so we'll all go out and do our best. Personally, if it's going to be raining all weekend and a low in the 60s on Sunday, I'm hoping for an overcast race morning. Have a great run, everyone! See you at the finish! ------------------ matt
