Wow! LOL... I've never been called princess before! I don't think it's meant as a compliment though - shucks.

Some of you out there really take yourselves very seriously. That's great and I hope you have fun with that.

I on the other hand, am much more of a live and let live type of person.

No - I am not some horrible ogre of a teacher who shows children how to break the rules and skirt the truth. I'm a Catholic schoolteacher if you must know! (lol) I can't believe the responses I've gotten on something I consider a rather small issue.

I don't plan on using my headphones so you can all calm down now. Sheesh. I think some of you have your shoes laced a little tight!

Curlyd,

The headphone debate can get pretty heated, try not to take it personally.
Follow race rules and have a blast at the Marathon.

Good luck to you,

I always train with music, but never miss it when running a marathon. Chicago is huge with tons of crowd support - you won't be bored or need the music for motivation. Just write your name on your shirt and people will cheer you the whole way. Have Fun!

If you can't run a marathon without getting bored, why run it at all?

Yes! Remember, only bigapplepie's reasons for running a marathon are valid. Next time you have an idea like running a marathon. Be sure to check with bigapplepie and make sure you are doing it for the right reasons.
