I don't really have time to respond to everyone's Seattle thread, though I would like to.I'm thrilled about all the PR's, and BQ's, I'm really REALLY Glad Tet came through with the promised weather. I had a blast at the "Pink Door", I was really upset however that Tet and Dark Horse conspired to separate me from the Ultra goddess. I was so happy to hear that she was so able to defend herself amongst those two rogues. It was Great to meet and great all the old friends, and new. These Seattle get togethers keep getting better every year. Dave

Dave, I just saw your results. Good run for your (what is it now 11th marathon of the year?) Not to mention a back to back with both having some good hills. Thanks for setting up dinner, the place was good but the boomers made it a night to remember.------------------ Good running!!! Mike's Profile

Thanks to you dave for starting off the Pink Door tradition in aamos' Sleepless in Seattle thread and at the Seattle Marathon in 2004.I apologize for not coming to arf's aid in the dark horse incident. I always thought his photos had been altered and never imagined he'd so tall and imposing in reality as he claimed to be on the board. He's even better though so, as long as he and/or arf are around, I'll never be afraid of midnight running along the waterfront again. By rights, you guys should have had a respite after running the most constantly hilliest marathon I've ever heard of at your Flying Monkey last week (I still can't belief the elevation chart you posted) but you both ran strong in Seattle and I'll never forget ultralina's determination to finish when she started suffering at mile 14. Her example saved my day at mile 15 too. ETAthank you also for making it my greatest too with your working a lot longer than your marathons probably took for the "100th Marathon" shirt I got to proudly wear, the commemorative signs pinned on everyone's shirts, cards, chocolates, igloo fobs, etc. I learned that running 100 marathons is way more about good friends that accumulating miles. Dave, the whole weekend wouldn't have been quite so special without your contribution. Thanks for finding a spot for us to hang out and "meet and greet" each other! And I was so happy to finally meet Arf, so thanks for that opportunity too. As for the rest, well, he's not Dark Horse for nothin'! Nice running, too. We're all still wondering how you could go home to take a shower before she showed up though... you guys have a quiet confidence in each other that really is inspiring. Thanks for everything.------------------ evanflein

Actuallly, I had heard she was still quite a ways back, I was anxious to get my cell phone in case there was a call. I was also able to get a warm jacket for her, but I was sorry that I didn't make it back before Arf finished. Dave

Dave,Great to meet you, and thanks so much for setting up the Saturday night dinner. I was afraid to turn my back on you in case you decided to seek revenge for my sitting next to Arf. Dark Horse ------------------ I'm a dark horse, running on a dark race course

What kind of RR is this? No results? No course (or coarse) comments? In any case, I hope you had a good run and enjoyed the race at least half as much as the Boomer doings. ------------------ - Runnin' in Rochester Rochrunner

Dave, you are a good runner and a good guy, and if you are the chief architect of what must have been a great dinner, then you deserve all the congrats. Spareribs

Dave, I must say that Dark Horse was also impressed by your boat! When we were at the Space Needle, I pointed out your ferry to him -- it's such a Seattle icon! Thank you so much for a wonderful time; good friends, good food, good laughs.

Come on Dave, give us a real race report! You looked great at the finish line, so we want the details of the actual run.Thank you so much for organizing another great Seattle get together. I don't know how you keep talking the Pink Door folks into letting us crash their establishment year after year (but somehow I don't think they'll welcome us back next year). -Dove

Dive, I think we all had a greta time at dinner, thanks to you. Thanks so much for organizing. Equal if not more thanks for the free and fun tour of the Aquarium. DD and pal were talking about it the rest of the afternoon. Who knew how much cool stuff was right under our feet at the pier? Not me. You've psyched me up for learning how to dive, for sure.

Sound: Thank you too for the help with the dinner, It was GREATLY appreciated. I'm so glad your butterflies settled out and that you nailed this one. You are running so strong, I am sure you will get that sub 1:39 before you know it. And if you are serious about learning to SCUBA, drop me a line. I don't work with any classes anymore, and I no longer really know any of the local instructors, but would still be happy to give you some generic guides on classes, and option to learn. Dave

Don't worry brother...I was right across the table from the rogues so I was keeping an eye on our ultra queen. Now...I may not have done a good job since I found this picture in my camara. Thanks for arranging everything for the Pink Door extravaganza. It was great meeting you in person. Thanks for showing your best behavior to my DH jijij

Dive, it appears you are an outstanding party coordinator. From the comments of those who were there, it also sounds like you had a good race. Congratulations.TomS ------------------ My Profile

Thanks for organizing this event, with your busy schedule. Still no report about your time? It was nice meeting you, although we didn't get to talk much. I am already looking forward to my next Pink Door outing.

I did sort of a RR on Aamos's thread, herehttp://www.coolrunning.com/forums/Forum13/HTML/011715.shtml bottom line, sub 4 hours (barely) thanks to my first ever back to back marathons (two marathons in two weeks) my legs turned to lead for the lase 8 miles or so. I have TONS of respect for what Aamos and SrLopez do week after week! My next marathon is in about 3 weeks, lots of time to recover. Dave
