Thanks everyone so much. I'm humbled by all the responses and that so many of you have given me feedback and congratulations. Erika - my goal in Eugene is simple - to cross the finish line with a smile and probably a tear or two (hopefully happy tears and not painful tears) . . . oh, and to cross it running, rather than crawling. It'll be my first, so time doesn't matter. Just like my first HM - time didn't matter - I just wanted to do it. So, my first Marathon will be the same - just complete it and then the next one will be for time ------------------ Tamalina

Tammy: sorry I'm so late getting to a reply, but congats on an awesome run and am amazing PR. It's a little scary when you see how far a head of your planned pace you are, but at some point, you just have to say the heck with it, lets see if I can hang on. great job hanging on. Dave

(So late to respnd to this when I read this last week...)I am so, so tickled for you! You are running so well, Tammy! I can't wait to see how you do when you run your first marathon next spring. I'm expecting an equally wonderful result then. Very cool how you and John both had such terrific races. I'd keep that coach, if I were you. Then again, he gets to run with one sweet, funny and beautiful goddess... he definitely has the better end of the deal.
