Wow nothing like a jerk for a RD to put a damper on an otherwise good time. One can only hope his days in the job are limited. On the good news side, in a few months the RD will be long forgotten in your mind but the joys of the race will remain.

Wonderful pics and great race, now we have to fix the stomach issues and the RD. Least you can flush the (pardon the expression) crap. Hope you didn't let it ruin your mini vacation. Congrats to both you and MR. C on you races.------------------

What a great race report and pics, Cheryl! Thanks for sharing your story ...and your frustration with the RD (sounds like a real piece of work). Okay to rant too ... running is a great sport and we should be concerned about making it a great experience for everyone. Keep up the great running ...relax and enjoy the gift!

It seems there is a pattern of behavior with this guy. I'd offer the opinion that he should find another line of work. Maybe he could find work as a torturer?

About the race, you had a gem of wisdom about giving up on the PR too soon. I've done that too, maybe as recently as Sunday. About the Nazi RD, I'm a nice guy but don't mess with me. I would have been PO'ed. It's water under the bridge now so I guess you'll just have to let it go. I had considered this race so it's helpful, to say the least, to read this report. Don't worry about Missoula, btw-we will meet somewhere, someday.------------------

Has anybody noticed how many Bizz reviews have popped up on Marathonguide praising the RD to the skies, by name?I've almost never seen an RD singled out for praise. Can you say, "sock puppet," anyone? ------------------

Mustang,What I find frustrating is that neither my marathonguide comments nor my friend's comments have appeared criticizing the RD. Censorship? Honest, I did not use profanity.

I really don't know how it works, but marathonguide.com reviews take several days to show up. I think the owner of the site sends reviews to the RD for rebuttal, but I don't think they are censored. we will see.

Choover, you're always shown a good heart and have earned respect. Thank God you know that races are different than what you've recently experienced. Hopefully there are few first time racers running into the RD. One of the three tings in life that give me fits is Egos.------------------
