Millennial... Sorry, Cash, couldn't resist.

Caigr, sounds like an exciting ride! I'm glad no traffic to cause problems... WTG on the AG award! Must be extra points for shallow waters...

Criga, close call crossing over the line on the bike...yikes! Other than that it sounds like fun. You're a speedsta! Great job! Congrats on the AG award.

It sounds as though you really enjoyed yourself and were with a lot of friends, Pro. Congrats on the nice race in spite of the side stitch and near bike problem.

Why did it take me so long to read this - because I really hate reading about The Pro's biking adventures - really!!! Embrace the trainer bike this winter - pleeeeeease.

Econo - you hussy - be nice. I slept through the easy tri - remember??? Come on admit it - doesn't a quarter mile swim sound lovely???

Just to address some questions etc...

That's gag comma trainer biking. As in gag me with a spoon, I hate riding my trainer in the basement.

That side stitch still hurts! When you get and do not slow down enough, it's painful, and it feels like a pulled muscle now.

Yes, the running shoes really helped. But check Mr. 1st Place. He still beat me in T2 by 6 tenths of a second. Of course it doesn't help that after dropping the bike I ran the wrong way and had to turn back after maybe only 10yds.

Dearest Econo, I, He who stands accused of "just going through the motion" regarding swimming, search out short swims so I can accentuate the positive, so to speak. Swimming season starts this week you know!

Mrs. Ribs, OKOKOK I got the message. Leave the little girls alone.

Many mentioned the bike. Yes, yes, sorry about that. As LRR said, it was also wet, so this figured into my conservative lean. I was also non aero on the 40 mph downhill (just to be careful).

Note to self: Get Sans Souci a cell phone !

Ilene, Gets the prize. The race is 16 miles long! Duh.

Choovie, Thanks for the compliment but check out the overall winner's stats. He is literally the pro from Dover!

NAME HOMETOWN SWIM TIME T1 BICYCLE TIME T2 RUN TIME OVERALL TIME
Tony Delogue Dover, MA 06:09.8 1:04.0 0:27:59.7 0:34.5 17:41.0 0:53:29.0

24 min mile swimming
25+ mph bikeing
5:41 pace running
And ....He's from Dover, MA

Thanks for all the atta-boys.

Craig,

I'm always in awe of people who can do tri's. Nice job on the AG placement.

aw, I was just kidding, everyone. Good job, Pro -- I like the way you mowed people down when you got out of the water!

Nothing to add that has not been said before, you did great on a race you just sign up for on a fluke. Scary about that right turn... Hey, running in the wrong direction is my specialty, copycat!
Congrats on the great showing.
