A quick note about my race this week. This race takes place in my home town of Clio, and is put on by the Catholic Church. The race runs on the Clio bike path.
91 degrees just before start of race and 90 %humidty. I started slower going out at 7 min. per for first mile, much slower than normal. The heat began to take toll at 11/2 miles. By mile 2 I had slowed to 14:45 and was fading fast.
Finished in 23:52 3rd in ag and top 20 overall.

Just a note the Clio Dream run is 9-22 at 10:30 at High School. This is a small race with the largest field being 100 runners. This is the 4th year, and all proceeds go to a local family who as young son with Cerebral Palsy. 20 dollars with shirt

Derrick, those are brutal conditions for a race.

Congratulations on the strong finish in spite of the H&H.

>>>Finished in 23:52 3rd in ag and top 20 overall.

Not bad in 90/90 weather.
