Lost a full week of running to vacation travels, another long-run day to my son's scouting campout, so my milage is down this month. monthly miles: 78.9 On the other hand, I got to run in heaven (aka Junction City, OR - which is heaven compared to this east coast heat and humidity) and set a 10k PR. Race PR: 57:40 Scandia Run 10k (Our local fall racing season is going to get underway soon, so I should have lots of PR's to report in the next four months. I know there will be at least one, because one of the first races will be a mile run, and I haven't raced one mile since high school.)

A heel spur/bursitis near the achilles has sidelined the rented mule. Got 49 miles in early in the month and have missed 15 straight days. Have 785.3 for the year.

Is it my imagination or is this a record month for the NUMBER of people posting miles over 200. I know we have a lot, but in reading through these, it seems like we have a lot more this month.Anyway, 70.8 miles running 14.8 miles walking YTD Running is 529.5 (already a PR for miles in a year) I also did my longest run ever of 17.6 miles this month. While that was good, it showed me I am not ready to do my first marathon YET. ------------------ vista129

("Imagination"? You didn't get an MRI today, did you? Well, never mind.) Since you asked, the record for # of 200+ runners was set last month with 27. That record could be going down, along with some other. Or not...some folks may well be away for the holiday weekend and may not post this month. <<back to work>>

Aug miles - 261Aug PR - 10k (39:36) YTD Miles - 1804 Congratulations, Tramps, on the 200+ month. That's always been a key number I've aimed for. Although I've been gloating lately, I had gone 10 years without a 200 until breaking through again near then end of '05. Good things will happen if you can string a few together. By the looks of that 10-mile PR you are already on the way--congrats on that one too!

Thanks for this again Tramps. I actually double my mileage this month! August = 36 milesNo really reason, except that I just hate to run in this heat and humidity and I hate to run in the mornings even more. Oh well, just wait until January, ha!

Here I go again; I'll be on the Honor Roll (thanks Tramps) but near the bottom. Sigh. 48.7 for August. I dislike August. I hate treadmills, but I hate heat worse. Blah!

August = 102.4 YTD = 771.6I got over the 100 mile mark for the month by doing a 5k on the track. I do a lot of night running and often finish after midnight. For consistancy I log the miles into the log of the day I started the run. I actually started the run after midnight (about 1am on Sept 1), but since I started to THINK about doing the run at about 8pm, I logged the miles on August 31 and got my 100 miles This is my second best August ever, behind 105.3 in 2002. And I have already beaten my YEARLY mileage totals for each of the last 3 years (762, 766, 709), and am on pace to break my pr for miles in a year (1104). Yeah me.
