Sorry I missed you, stayed at the clock till just before the start. The traffic was terrible, the worst I have ever seen. Next year for sure we will meet if not sooner. we will both break 90 together.

Sounds like a fine race, TomS! Okay, I know you didn't get the time you wanted, but the conditions weren't the best, either. And congratulations to your wife and daughter for exceeding their expectations. What a fun way to spend the day together.

I always enjoy your reports Tom, it sounds like the humidy and crowds had a lot to do with your performance. Glad to hear you had a great time with the family.

Turning lemons into lemonade; that's what you do, Tom. I agree with what others have said: the slow start probably had an effect on your race. I'm happy to hear that it was an otherwise great day.

Hi Tom,

So many others have said it: It's tough to get in gear after a slow, crowded couple of miles at the start, especially on a warm humid day. But you, as you always do, made the best of the day by sharing it with family and friends.

Tom, somehow you manage to find the good in most everything and everyone. I admire you very much for that. I'm happy you got to spend the day with family and friends doing something you enjoy doing. That PR will be yours next year.

Tom,
Thanks for sharing your RR.
You have a great perspective on running, and I'm sure it was rewarding to have your wife and daughter smash their goal times. Your day will come.....
Just stay away from all that traffic, both on the roads and on the race course
John

Tom - thanks for your RR! I truly enjoy reading your daily posts and how you "notice" everyone's runs. Congrats on a good race at the Crim. Doesn't sound like it's the best race to try and run a PR, but it does sound like a lot of fun. Amazing isn't it, how your race times all fall into a very short range for specific distances.

Great that you made this a family affair as well. I haven't gotten to that stage yet, and can only imagine how much fun it would be to run with my wife, daughters and sons.

That sub-90 minute 10-miler will be there soon, Tom! Continued good racing!
PJ
