69.7 miles for the month. Certainly better than last months paltry little 35 miles, but not quite where I wish I was at yet. I think July will be a good mileage month for me This puts me at 317.80 miles for the first half of the year. I guess it's time to get serious now Two "sort of" PR's this month. A 5K PR today and I participated in my first duathlon this month by running two 5K legs. ------------------ Tamaspalina

Thank you tramps. No PR and somebody at the top of the page keeps beating my 5K times but I picked a good month to up the mileage and remain ahead of her in that department. June 2007 Running: 101.1 miles . . . . races (5) - 91.0 miles (3.1, 26.2, 28.8, 26.2, 6.7) . . . . training (2) - 10.1 miles YTD - 331.7 miles Shoe alert! The pair "barefoot" should be replaced immediately to avoid injury. Mike - yay for getting lost in a PNW marathon for the first time! My "best" is 1.3 miles too (Green River Marathon - 2006) Uhm, . . . AG RR? [This message has been edited by Tetsujin30 (edited Jul-01-2007).]

Hi Tramps, thanks ol'pal. I am always looking forward to the detailed stats. Still in knee rehab mode, I have been doing a lot of functional strengthening as per my trainer and swimming, plus got into running in aquasocks which really helps my knee (and works my calf muscles like crazy!) The numbers may not be spectacular, but I actually had a very good month. Running: June miles: 35.8 (17.76 in aquasocks) YTD: 567.4 PR: 17.76 miles in aquasocks Swimming: 3.6mi (5800 meters) Functional strength: 12hrs Of course, you can ignore everything other than the running miles; I just wanted to give the full picture. j

“My theory is to strive for consistency, not to worry about the numbers. If you dwell on statistics you get shortsighted, if you aim for consistency, the numbers will be there at the end.” —Tom Seaver, baseball pitcher. Consistency was my goal for the month of June and I ended up with 112 miles, which is around a 10 miles lifetime PR for me. Plus 3 hours of swimming, which is also a lifetime PR. YTD= 578 miles. 78 miles above my goal. [This message has been edited by mariposai (edited Jul-01-2007).]

60 pathetic miles. Log indicates that I had a bad June last year, too. Maybe it's just a racing-season-recovery pattern that my body imposes whether or not the spirit is willing. 657 ytd.------------------ Mustang Sally Boomers and Beyond wiki

Thanks again, Tramps!55.4 miles in June 535.9 YTD Hope to do better in July but only if works slows and that is not likely. One positive is that knees feel better than they have in a while. 76.8 miles for June 457.6 miles year to dateI'm impressed with all the PRs for monthly mileage! I cut back on miles in the summer because of the heat - and it's not even that hot where I live! July will be a low mileage month because of a 3-week vacation in Alaska - YAY! I'll get some running in, but not a lot. And when I come home I'll be in a new age group - 50-59! One 10K race, not a PR. Happy July to all you Boomers, and thanks, Tramps. Take some Vitamin I (ibuprofen) for that exploding head. Carolyn

Fine. Be that way. I was going to keep it simple. I asked myself, "WWSRD?" I answered, "he'd round down and lose the GPS-enabled, data-weenie decimal fractions of miles." And so I did. I rounded down, although it galled me to do it. But if you're going to be like that: Tramps, dear, put me down for 60.49 miles. You know. .24 miles more than that Horse Dood. So there. ------------------ Mustang Sally Boomers and Beyond wiki

I love a feisty Mustang. Tramps, you slay me. I love the exploding head and I still cackle thinking about the keyboard-pounding-to-stumps gif. It seems I've been going places instead of running in place lately. I've got to create new experiences so I don't bore everyone with the same ol' stories. There's a method to my madness. June - 108 miles YTD - 895 miles Run on Boomers!
