Tammy, you and Holly did well. To almost PR in the first 5K knowing there was another coming up is great. And then you did the second one almost as fast. Congratulation on a job well done.

Tammy – great racing! I would think it would be hard to have that hour break in between, just long enough to stiffen up, but you still did very well on the 2nd leg in spite of that. Congratulations on winning 2nd place - great job!

Tammy, terrific job! Loved your fun report. Duathlons are tricky and running only a few seconds slower your second run shows you ran wisely, too.
I'm sure you had a lot of fun with your friend, but I encourage you to try the whole thing yourself next year (or another one). I entered one on a whim two years ago and have had fun going back to the same one to see if I can get any faster on the bike. (The runs have stayed the same. :rolleyes

oh . . no hotdogs and chips for me. I only had the pasta salad. I've actually done pretty good on a mostly vegetarian diet for about 3 wks now. I only have meat about 1-2 times a week, and even then it's a very very small serving.

This sounds like a fun event and you did a fantastic job!
"What? You don't eat no meat?" One of my favorite lines from one of our favorite DVD's, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I'll eat a big homemade burger from local buffalo meat for you. It's pretty lean.
