Mine comes up with all sorts of good ideas, whether it's the garbage can if ice water strapped into the back of the truck, or just being there with the water/Gu/whatever. Tetsujin30 Cool Runner	posted May-21-2007 09:05 AM ilene - maybe on roch's computer too but the finish photo with you looking fresh as a daisy and with the finish clock seeming to show an even faster time than in the Portland Marathon (with its one puny hill compared to PV) that I got to run part way with you (well, at least one mile), seems to have been inadvertently edited out of your race report. sorry to say this because, unlike most of us who just read as many rr's as we can without getting to reply to them like your cheery encouragements week in and week out to all of our rr's, you need take more time on your own and be very, very proud of doing so well on one of the toughest marathon courses in the world, if not the solar system and universe, so please do another edit and don't spare any details of every step, every hill, every gel, every hydrate, every unhydrate and biostop, every handsome guy like Robert or Fast who kept your pace so steady and sure. Your fans want to KNOW! This was truly a marathon run for the ages. [This message has been edited by Tetsujin30 (edited May-21-2007).] ETA ilene - thanks for reposting the finish line photo. You don't look at all like you've just run for nearly five hours over some of the hardest hills the country has to offer. However, strangely, the time on the finish clock seems to have faded from the X:XX:XX that was on the original rendition (I really want to say it but, if Sherie won't either, I will defer to you too). ilene, you are so thoughtful of others and focus on everyone else all the time, now go brag about yourself. Especially for those of us who love the challenge of hills in the middle of a marathon but who have never even dreamed of a three mile ascent at the end of the race, we deserve it!
