Ran SAT. the healing hands 5k, this race goes to the free health clinic in Flint. 55 degrees to start with about 250 runners and walkers. In the first mile the local police had us take a wrong turn so we added over a 1/4 mile to the run. ended up 6out 13 in age group with a time of 24:20 not my best time but ok considering sciatic nerve is flaired up. avg pace ended up 7:19 with my first mile at 6:40 too fast.

A little race before the bigger race next weekend. Sweet. Take care of that never before next weekend. I'm looking forward to the education.

dshclio, we had similar races, a wrong turn and a first mile that was too fast. You ran for a good cause and got into "race mode" for next week. Congratulations. Take care of that sciatica.

Nothing like an extra 1/4 mile to help with the fitness! Derrick, as a fellow sciatica sufferer, just curious if you do those pressups (similar to cobra in yoga) and hold the position with the glutes relaxed. It helps the discs in the back "reshape" and supposedly takes pressure off the nerve. Hope you do well next week. Spareribs
