sans souciant i was delighted to see that you had a great race with a pr and wow you had some of that faerie dust left in the tank. you are a very good runner and there is no telling how low you can go . . . must be that island living and the naniamo bars. i enjoyed meeting you and getting to chat briefly at the brunch altho too briefly, if we are able to get to the island for a marathon we coul get together then. Keep us informed of the healing of the heel.

Thanks again for your comments. As I mentioned in the Daily, my heel seems to be coming around, but I'll not rush back into things as this is a grand time to rest and rehab before I ramp things up again.I guess no one asked about a FR since I'm kind of a Fashion Disaster (look away, 'Ribs ... pink and red with a bit of orange and black), but I should tell you that I bought some of the RaceReady shorts at the expo and they were skookum -- just stuff two gels together in the slots and no bounce! Even room for a snot rag. I also wore my 20-y-o singlet because, well, it has Gods and Goddesses on it, and who wouldn't want their pals along for the ride? Let's see a PR at Boston despite heel problems and still had gas left in the tank? I hope to meet you on a race course someday - and I really hope I'll be able to keep up with you. You are a very talented runner and by all accounts a delightful person too. Congrats on your most excellent Boston.Skip

Oh, please, Skip. You'd leave me gasping in my own (faerie) dust. But I'd run with you anytime you'd like to slow down. So nice to see you here. Are you still running those 70++-mile weeks? Hi, tw!

Aren't you sweet. No, I've cut back - probably 67 this week, if I can behave and stop at 6 miles tomorrow. Have to get to the starting line to PR.

More congratulations from me, SS. Absolutely awesome. We had a lot of unearned fun tracking your race...I remember Labduck's comment.."Sans Souci is running the marathon of her life!". It was absolutely impossible to work.I'm glad the soleus stretch worked... but .. something 'pinged'? squishy sensations? .... I don't think I know a word that works here.. argh, ack, eww, fall short. but you , my dear, are tough. well, you know that. I hope Stuart enjoyed -- he must have. Sounded so proud. everyone enjoyed meeting him. Thanks for sharing this. It uplifts and inspires. well done. --from someone that doesn't have a clue, but sincerely meant.
