Hi HB,

Congratulations on a greta race: Just a snivel over a minute from your target time, but still a 3 min. course PR. That's just great running, especially with the headwind!

wow, great finish hermosa. i'm pretty sure you got the elevation and heart rate curves mixed up after mile 21 though... or maybe that was just my impression.

sacramento, december 2? just an idea right now. or maybe a relay? it'll be a blast, i'm sure.

ps - don't race too much, you're going to make ilene jealous...

Nice race and report, Hermosaboy. You are a very talented runner, just beginning to tap into your potential.

Sorry we missed each other. Based on finish times, we were within two minutes of each other. Oh well. Maybe next year?

Excellent race, Hermosa!!!
Great RR. Reading it made all of the memories of that day come back to me.
I will always remember how you helped me along for 21 miles and executed a marathon plan perfectly!
I only wish that someday I can improve enough to be able to hang with you someday when you are RACING a marathon!
Thanks so much for taking the time to run with me!

My pleasure John! It was a GREAT experience. The company made the time pass quite quickly. Although, we should have followed that shortcut sign...

Next time you get to block the wind though!

Congratulations on the course PR. It does look like you were in almost perfect shape. The graph is very cool and it makes it look like perfect execution. Great job.

Rob,
You ran avery controlled race, carried out your plan to near perfection. It is too bad that the weather did not cooperate for you . . . it was must have been very difficult running in those supra-freezing conditions.

It was a pleasure meeting one of the faster boomers at the brunch

Congrats Hermosa! Your execution of the race plan is amazing.

Next time you're in the area I'd love to draft off you too! (at least for a short while) :-)

I'm so impressed at how carefully executed your race plan was, and at how very precisely you almost nailed your goal pace under difficult conditions...and yet you sounded comfortable out there! I think the 1st wavers had a tougher time out there than us 2nd wavers with the weather, so bravo for pulling out such a greta race despite the conditions!

Most impressive, as always Rob. Enjoyed your detailed report. You can certainly see all four of the Newton Hills and I think even that damn underpass near the end followed by a great kick. Great planning, superb execution. I think jjchaney needs some company up there in the sub 2:50s land. You should drag mcsolar & PBJ along with you. You are all ready for a huge breakthrough this season. You guys are my inspiration. Keep hammerin' dude!
