Once again I'm back home with the biggest smile on my face after running "THE GREATEST MARATHON". Of course my time is not an indicator of how wonderful Boston is.

No actual times or mile post splits, it wasn't that type of day.

I enjoyed this race more after I was finished than when I ran it. Oh sure the weather was a bit yucky, but who cares. I spotted Tallrunner, a first time meet, and I 'm not sure what gave him away, his height or his green/yellow jacket with a big ol Canadain flag plastered across the back. I kissed a pretty girl. I once again totally missed the aid station, two years in a row!! Maybe I should think about glasses on the course. My good buddy and workmate Roger Cross pulled out a PB and AG placing in the 40-49 yo's. The Canadian(BL) had a tough day but still did well, and theres not a better feeling than a big ol hug and a kiss from salty sweaty girl who's ready to go drink Champagne!

wj, you were one of the runners I tracked on the Boston website, so I have some idea what your race was like. I'm glad you still enjoyed it all and kept your great attitude.

Hopefully next year I'll be there with you.

See you on the Waterfront!

Seems to me, anyone who ran a marathon under those conditions, deserves to drink Champagne! Congrats!

What a great day for you! I beg to differ - I may be the one that needs glasses - sorry for missing you. Not to worry - your 2004 Maison Louis Jadot Chevalier Montrachet Les Demoiselles was enjoyed by the Pro-crew!

Congratulations Winejunky! I don't know what your time was - but the fact is - You made it to the show and that is quite an honor! Meeting Tall and kissing a salty sweaty girl was just the icing on the cake.

WJ, really sorry we didn't get to meet at all, you will just have to come back next year and this time we are going to get a tracking device so you will beep as you get near. Glad you enjoyed the day which surely turned out way better then it dawned.

Congratulations winejunkie! We'll have to go back and analyze those splits to determine how long the Wessley kiss was . Who cares about time. You did BOSTON!

Hey, wj! Sorry it wasn't your day and I hope you and BL are recovering nicely with that bubbly.

It'll have to be another park bench on another day (I hope, I hope). Sorry we didn't cross paths.

What a great attitude. Boston, imho, can bring out the worst and the best in all who run it. You obviously, fit in the latter category.

Congrats on sharing in your celebration!

I skimmed through this report quickly, but I gather you met a pretty girl (nice!) and kissed a sweaty Tallrunner (yuck!). To each his own, I guess.

WJ,

Sorry our paths never crossed this year. However, we were fortunate enough to meet Tallrunner separately. Sounds like you had a great time (as did I). Maybe next year? Enjoy the post race glow.

That has to be especially sweet, to run Boston (and do well!) with your sweetheart. I bet that cold champagne tastes great after salty kisses for both of you.

Congratulations!

Winejunky

It was a real pleasure to meet you and run with you. It helped keep me steady before I pushed it later on in the race.

I sure wish I would have had time or energy to ask you about wines...since I truly enjoy good wine.

Your a fine runner and a really nice person. Hope to meet you again

How in the world did I miss this before? I think you cleverly disguised your race report by titling it as a comment on height! Congratulations, and so sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up!
