Loved it! The pictures to go with the commentary was amazing. I felt like I was there. Now you need to pace me to a BQ which is right at the time you had. Please? Bill ------------------ Bill's Profile

Hooray! What an amazing come back after last year's difficulties & injuries. Way to own the course! You must be flying. Enjoy the glow - it will help with the delayed-onset muscle soreness... -Jim in Acton

Excellent race, fun story to read, and great pictures!I'm just worried about finishing my first marathon, now I have to consider lipstick, carrying a phone, and I don't have a camera phone... maybe I can pull a little trailer with a camcorder?? julie http://interwovendesign.com/kick/userdisplay.php3?username=chasing3

geez louise, another pr? congrats rtravers! it sounds like you ran a smart race, well-planned race, and you had the training you needed to back up that plan. great job.(it was nice to see you at the brunch; sorry i didn't chat more. that post with the integrals had me all intimidated and nervous.) i know exactly what you mean about suddenly feeling dilapidated. how the heck could i have been running a marathon 2 minutes ago when i feel like this? i laughed about it to myself while i was getting my chip untied... great pics!

What a wonderful multi-media presentation! You really captured the essence of the Boston marathon experience. Glad to hear you had such a good time in those less than perfect conditions. We (the adults, that is) really enjoyed Via Matta. Unfortunately, the experience of a three hour meal was a bit too tiring for PBJ Jr., who fell asleep during the pasta course. Perhaps we shall meet next year? I hope so.

Robin, congratulations on a great race. A complete 180 from last year. Definitely a Boomer hall of fame RR. Excellent photos and I loved the novel multi-message format. A very sly way to bump your reply count Mark

No, no, noo! I tried posting it all at once, but got an error message that only 8 images were allowed in each post. So, I chopped it all up!--Robin

Robin, That was such an excellent RR! The pictures really complete the feel for the entire Boston experience! I can't believe you ran a PR on a tough marathon course, in tough conditions, and STILL had time to click off pictures during the race. Way to Go! I can't even manage to hold onto a gel pack and a banana at the same time. Congratulations on a fantastic run! John

Robin - I have read some really good race reports, but this one tops them all. I grinned the whole time I was reading it. The pictures with the road signs were an excellent touch -- I really felt I was there with you. And your race was great, too! 3:46 -- great time! Lou

Robin has explained that she did NOT take pictures while she ran - the mid-course photos are creatively re-purposed from other photographers. She is a journalist and a runner, not a stunt-person.I did run near to at least three people on Monday using cell-phones, but they were NOT taking pictures: "I can't really talk now, I'm running in Ashland" "See you at the finish line" and (the saddest) "I'm only in Wellesley and I'm already walking. I have no idea when I'll get there"

Yay for Robin's Revealing Photos™ this time in a trilolgy baring the truth that the weather was every bit as bad as reported in spite of all the PR's and macho runners' assurances that "oh, it wasn't that bad." Congratulations to all.
