Nice Job Rick!!! You continue to impress me all the time - not only for your barefoot racing, but your authentic love and passion for the sport.

Knowing how much chipseal, especially the sharp crushed rocks in the new stuff can reduce a rhythmic stride to a cautious-stepping low gear, let me give you a five minute handicap for your finish time. However, no credit except enjoying your running even more for your famed high-fiving finishes.Though you had to work some magic for the snow-to-sun transformation, sounds like you picked a good year to skip Boston.

What do ya know....Chicks dig barefoot runners. I'll have to show DS the pictures. One of the best things about races is the people we meet. Thanks for the RR rick------------------ Never regret anything that made you smile, SteveP My User Profile

One impressive component of your recent races is that they seem to be getting faster, and I don't know whether that is technique or conditioning but it's very impressive. You should give us a clinic on B&B some day on these issues. You sure picked a non-Boston event to run safely in this weekend. A couple of my friends in Dallas decided to do St.L this year and skip Boston. I bet you're all glad you did. Nice run Rick. Spareribs

Nice racing, buddy. Speaking of Boston (hard to think about anything else today), you're getting really close to going back, huh?------------------ My Profile

Not sure I want to do Boston anytime soon, Karl. I guess that is why I haven't really been trying to BQ. Four years in a row seems to be enough for me, for now at least.Rick quote: Originally posted by Karl Rysted: Nice racing, buddy. As Mr. Ribs and yourself and others have pointed out ... I love running! I think part of it is that I try to give back during the race to others around me. It is a reciprosity thing I think .. sowing good seed and reaping a happy harvest! Thanks Ilene! Rick quote: Originally posted by Ileneforward: Spareribs is right, you are surprisingly getting faster! Hey Rick,I always enjoy your RRs so much because you always seem to have such a good time and the pictures are fun too. I don't even like driving over chip sealed roads in my car let alone running barefoot across them. You definitely need in on some of that side action Congrats on another great marathon! ~~cheryl
