Very nice race Tom!Even splits work the best in a HM for me..... I've tried to bank miles only to have my race fall apart in the last few miles. The toughest thing is knowing what the right pace is.... it sounds like you really nailed the pace even though you thought it is a bit fast. Congratulations on your time and AG placing! Jim

Good run, Tom. Knowing that you are such a raceaholic I'm very surprised that this is your first half. I'd be even more surprised it's your last, though. Looks like a good distance for you. Very nice job of pacing.Congratuations!

Great race and beating your goals! Sub 2 is awesome! I think the 1/2 is a great distance. Will there be anymore in you future? I hope so since you did so well pacing yourself!

Very impressive Tom. Congratulations. Marj and I were planning to do a 10 mile run this morning but, when we faced the wind we decided against it and did a 5 miler this afternoon when conditions were better. So, with no choice, you bit the bullet and came through with flying colors.

Congrats Tom, nice race in not the best of conditions. I always enjoy reading your reports. I'm impressed by your even splits as well. Hopefully, one day I can do a sub 2 hour half as well.John

Tom, you are always so positive on commenting about everyone else's RR's....it's nice to be able to make positive comments on your race. What a nice controlled race you ran, very much within yourself and the results are proof of that. It may seem as though you have found your distance. Nicely run and great results. Way to go Tom.Good running Tom, Jim

Congratulayions on your AG award and finishing int he top half. Congrats to your friends too, hope they are happy with their achievement. Sometimes the best races are the ones we don't want to go to at all... j

Tom Your training was better than you thought and paid great dividends for you today. What a super race for you and I'm so pleased you broke 2 hours in style and took 3rd in your age group too. A result richly deserved. Well done!

Tom, your training has been solid this winter and it paid off. Great job on your first HM. I agree with Dave -- you and rochrunner come down for Dexter Ann Arbor and we'll show you guys around town. We could have a pre-Crim Boomer get together. I think GreyDave is going to run.Mark
