The race was good.....the RR better.....the beer was the best.......nice choice. What a great time Vicki and I had in Pickles presence......glad she brought along the guy who snubbed us at Nashville last year. Very happy the knee and the back held up....I too took it especially easy on most of the course because of the slippery conditions. Nice run TW, hope to enjoy more such events with you in the future.

Good running Tom,
Jim

Hi tomwhite...

A most enjoyable read of a well-written RR! I'm glad that you had such a greta time at the pre-race dinner with all the rest of the Boomers in Knoxville, and that your knee held up well during the race, despite the hills and rain and slick spots. It must be nice to have confidence that da knee and da back won't let you down, should/when you choose to race again. And it must be satisfying (if not thrilling!) to know that Pickles likes the way you look, even at the end of a race (and even without the See Thru shirt)!

Well done///

Jay

Oh what a wonderful event, I wish I could have been there too, but reading your report is the next best thing! I hope that pictures will be forthcoming soon.
You ran a smart race and you did good. I am so happy too that your precious body parts are none the worse as well.
I am sure Pickles is right and you looked great, but now she has to get you another see-thru shirt.
Thank you and congratulations on a historic event; the first tomwhite race in this millenia!

A tomwhite RR, what a nice treat. We need more of these. Congrats on a smart race. Sounds like it was a fun time with all the boomers present.

Yay, tomwhite! Glad Pickles gave the Ok to run this race and your knee and back held up. This was well worth the wait, but no see-through shirt, darn!

Ha Ha...Tomwhite , you are way too funny....excellent race and report! I'm glad your knee held out and I think you are just experiencing sympathy pain for my knee. How great is that to have dinner with the other boomers....glad you and Pickles had so much fun.

WAY good RR, tomwhite. A Dark & Stormy night is okay for apres race as it might loosen your knee, back, and a whole lot more.

Hope the knee is lovin' you today and that you can enjoy the trails again soon. Sounds like you had a lot of fun, which is always the point.

Thanks for the RR.

I certainly enjoyed meeting you and Pickles the other night.
That was certainly a lot of fun.

Glad to hear that your running went okay Sunday morning. The wet conditions were bad enough that running with concerns about knees would NOT have been fun.

Thanks for the nachos and the shirt. I will wear both proudly.

Loved your RR!! So glad your knee & back held up & that you finished. Definitely wise words from Munch... Bummer that Heidi didn't make it though.

An annual race from the guy who doesn't race... cool

Tom I really enjoyed reading your RR as well, it really sounds like everyone had a great time. I am glad your knee held up, too abd you can't race more often, but you have the right attitude, at least you can run and hey this will give you something to really strive for each year.

Best of luck and keep the faith.

Tom your RR was too funny. I hope to meet you at the next one, especially if you make it an annual event. Pickles sounds like a dear.

Tom, I always enjoy reading your posts. Sounds like you had a great race in spite of the rain, and what fun to meet other Boomers as well! Best thing is you finished with the knee and back intact. Well done!
