Hey Pro,I was just kidding about the glazed donut - it's a line from a David Lee Roth video. And I gave you an incorrect bib number. My number is 3146, not 3126. Sorry about that.

Let`s change this to a stop raining stop and perhaps a wind free zone. Can I change my fungus to a Tim Horton's double-double with a dutchie to go?Your moral support is going to be really needed on Monday. This impresses me more and more.

Due to the weather I'm thinking about ways to minimize the amount of time I need to hang around out there. So I may switch the water stop to Mile 1. -Criajg

Pro,Based on the weather I have a feeling I may need some energy once I come over the top. A banana or a carbo boom gel would be appreciated. If I see you before at one of the events, I will give you one. thanks again...and beers on me. Tall

Just don`t stand in front of the bushes---you don`t want to be that sort of water stop.

Craig- what time will you get to the water stop? will there be nearby parking? do you need me to bring any additional supplies?I will bring my 'running attire' so I can attempt to ferry any stuff you need out to any of the runners... You're the best, Pro! Dale ------------------ My Profile

I was thinking of bring along some hot jello. Sounds a bit crazy, but it is warm and has sugar. I will also have some extra hats on hand (of course).

I will arrive 10:30 if it's sunny and warm. 11:15 it's not puring. 11:45 if its a monsoon and 34 degrees. I will stay til 1:30 or more unless I start shivering and can't stop. Schedule: The wheelchairs will through around 10:30 The elite women around 11:15 The elite men around 11:40 RDRacing about 12:00 The first of the second wave 1:10 Most should be gone past by 2:30-3:00. Directions: googlemap this: 650 Commonwealth Ave, Newton Center, MA 02459 95 north to Mass Pike (90) East. To exit 17(Centre St.?) First right should be Centre St. (south) Go as far as possible, 1M? Park left or right in residential areas. Walk down Centre. At the race we are 20 feet to the left. The routine is: Grab a bottle or two of whoever is due. Wait. When someone yells "pro, it's spankee!!" for instance. You take off and get it to him. Give him a push so we can start a new ethics thread on Tuesday regarding the legality of accepting outside assistance.

Newton Center on the green (D) line. It is on Centre St about 1/2 M south of the race (Commonwealth). We are on the North side of the street. So it could be difficult to cross during the middle of the race. Of course if you run downstream at 8 or 9 min/mile it's easy. -criaig

Pro--argh, I am so exhausted from the ups and downs of the weather stuff, and getting organized at work and home (oops, forgot to get the cat sitter in place until yesterday!), i can't can't can't begin to tell you how absotivelylutelypositively fabulous it is knowing you and your crew care enough to be out there is this drek! You are truly a spectacular person. I ran a marathon recently in cold (real feel was single digits, and I was woefully underdressed--I kept peeking in the boxes on the course for discarded clothing to see if there was something I could take)and winds (a fellow runner had icicles adhering to his ipod wires) and was grateful the DH wasn't out tracking me as a support person, as I truly thought I'd be ever-so-tempted to jump in the car and say "I'm done!" You will be the reverse--no matter how hard it gets, I am going to forge on to find youse guys, and from there, I KNOW I can finish (recall I used to live out there for years [Brighton, Central Square, Coolidge Corner]. So truly, what I need is moral support--I'll be running and looking forward to a few folks giving me a grin and telling me to keep on keepin' on, more than you can imagine. I'll be in my neon yellow marathon Maniac jacket, prolly with Marathon & Beyond poncho over it, unless I've ditched it --and I'm #8814. grins, A ps: but if you have a bunch of what Wu is having, I'll take some o' that!

Pro - You're fookin' nutz. I don't need anything - well, maybe a warm hug for later transfer to Lori - but I'll take a grin as I go by. I'll be at the back of wave 1 - trying to hold 8:30 pace. With any luck, I should be by just before 1 PM. I'm #10881. Kiss the sky! This is not baseball! ------------------ ->>> John <<<- Go write something in the Newbie Wiki!!

Pro - Orange is fine with me, I just prefer the Lemon Lime, but it won't be a big deal either way. Thanks so much again for what you and your team are doing for us all. ------------------ My User Profile "Keep on Running" Bob

Pro - you are incredible! I am humbled. I'll drink anything - even a propel fitness water is fine. But orange is my least favorite flavor. Thanks again for everything. By the way, maybe we shouldn't blame you for the weather. I was also at the Hartford monsoon (2005), the Boston heat waves (2004 and 2005), and the Manchester turkey day snowfest (2005) and downpour (2006). Last year's Cleveland marathon had the final three miles going into a 30 mph lake effect wind. Am I the jinx?

craig, orange is fine with me, thanks for doing what you do. actually what i would really appreciate is if you could keep the winds down below 15 mph for the last 6 miles
