I know that I take a lot of abuse because I hate dogs and cats, but I'm not the only one. Those of you who are old enough to remember the TV and screen stars Roy Rogers and Dale Evans will recall that they were surrounded by animals, not just Trigger and Buttermilk. But the truth is that Roy Rogers hated dogs and cats, just as I do. I read a story about how one of Dale's cats went into Rogers' closet and went after a brand new pair of his cowboy boots, gnawing holes in the toe. When Rogers saw the cat doing it, he is said to have gone nuts and thrown the cat out the window. A neighbor saw this happen, retrieved the poor cat and marched up to the Rogers' front door and knocked. When Rogers answered he said, "Pardon me Roy, is this the cat that chewed your new shoes?" Just put {left bracket}IMG{right bracket}http://your-domain/your-picture.jpg{left bracket}/IMG{right bracket} and of course replace the {left bracket} and {right bracket} above with [ or ]. To see this, pick a posting that has an image, then hit the "Reply w/ Quote" icon -- you'll see the image reference as I described in the quote. Then you can hit the back button on your browser to get out of the reply. If this isn't clear, send me an email and I'll try to make it clearer.

Ilene you put the url to the picture inside of these {img}urlgoeshere{/img} only you have to use this [ ] bracket, not the curly one

Ilene, If you don't have it figured out yet, here's what you need to do. The pictures have to be posted on the web somewhere, they can't just be on your own pc. I used www.picturetrail.com and it was easy to set up an account and upload the pictures. They have a link at the top of the home page called Image URL's Click that and you have a choice of thumbnail size or larger size. Click larger size, then select your albumn, find the picture, scroll down and look for "Forums [IMG] Tag:" They have it all ready to just copy and paste in your post with the code already there. If you have trouble, just ask Lou. Starr

Uncle - I quitMorgan is an Australian Shepherd - red hair and blue eyes - she has been my running partner for many years and is quite cute. You will have to take my word on this as I am image impaired. It was fun seeing everyone's furry friends.

I think it has to do with the fact that your pics are in an album (happens on other sites too). If you right click the pic and choose Properties, there is a different URL. Morgan is a beaut and she looks like her hair is silky soft.

Thank you so much for the help. I was getting ready to just repost Howie the Helper Cat and claim him as mine. Ditto the Boomer comment and you are right - the kids are not bad either - as far kids go.

With all the new family members lately, I thought I'd resurrect this page. Here's a photo of Brinkley my running partner (when I'm outdoors) and new Hailey (4 months old). Good luck Rose! Hope everything works out for your family.

Here's a pic of Timmy (from the shelter). He is doing well, knows sit, down and come already, not a chewer, sleeps in the bedroom without any accidents but is crated during the work day. Heeling is another issue and also pulling on the leash. Last night, we walked 3 brisk miles thinking to tire him out but he pulled the whole way.

Post no. 100. (by a dog! don't tell jon 'cause he could never do it! ) This is kind-of jon's Bichon Frise. My name is Cupid 'cause I was born on Valentine's Day. Nice to meet all you dogs, cats, and other friends of his internet pals. Just thought we should let the humans around here know that this is our Year of the Dog! Let's rejoice! Actually, I'm not his dog but he's taking care of me for a while. Anyway, even though he's a sheep, jon sure always growls alot and gets me hungry sometimes when he's reading his computer and mumbling about spare ribs, horse meat, and other delectibles. Since he doesn't think he has a dog, he won't be looking here so be sure not to tell him I did this. from Cupid ps - even though he can't figure out half of this computer stuff, it's a lot easier than having to put paper, etc. in the typewriter so don't hesitate to put in your own posts and tell your side of the story about your runs with your humans. Maybe some of them are even Year of the Doggers too. Don't worry, Fine Ribs won't be reading this thread more than he already has. Unbelievable, he doesn't like dogs. Isn't he a dawg? maybe he knows how smart we are (and faster than him too!). ================================ YEAR OF THE DOG People born 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946, 1934, . . . People born in the year of the Dog have all the fine qualities of human nature and try their best to be like dogs. They are very jealous of us and always trying to be like us. They have a sense of duty and loyalty, they are faithful to those who are kind to them, they are extremely honest and always try to do their best in their relationship with other people. They inspire confidence in others and know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, curt and way too straight-forward. As long as they are comfortable and look good to other people, they care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money to do the things they like. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse yip, yip , Tiger, and Rabbit. "Every dog has its bone" Famous doggers include Michael Jackson and Bill Clinton.
