We have a beautie of a Goldie, once I get the hang of posting pics he will be on here. I am trying to convince Mrs C we should get another one to keep Woody company. Roy

Oh Steve! I just wanna give "Mandy" a huge hug! Reminds me alot of my childhood dog named "sompin". My mom had always said, "if we ever get a dog, that'll be sompin" . . .hence his name.I love this site - makes me smile every time I open it.

These pics are AWESOME.Jim - I LOVE Sweet Pea! Econo - I think Sox's head is bigger than little Econo's, 18 pounds??? We have a 6 pound fiesty siamese named "Pif", he will chase a ball if you throw it for him, but he will never bring it back. My daughter has a horse that I will soon post a photo of . Oh and we have 2 gerbils that finally decided to start a family ( they both had careers ). Yesterday she had 3 tiny pink babies.

maggie (left) - she's been gone two years, but was a australian shepherd mix we got from a dog rescue. her ashes are up on her favorite trail in New Mexicolola (right) - still with us, not running much these days; dobbie mix from the humane society. ALWAYS starts a run with a 800m fast interval, and when she figures out we're headed back home she goes really really slowly

check out the pool, too, woo!!! I forgot where you're located mcsolar, but it can't be anywhere near Eugene... I used to run with a doberman when I was a teen -- good protection and a really sweet dog. You all are making me want to get a dog someday (that'll be sompin!). Sox just won't run with me.

Here's a couple more of our furry friends. My wife gave me two kittens for Christmas ( Mongojerrie and Rumpleteaser). They really loved to climb our Christmas tree and bat at the decorations.

Yes and yes..... I was wondering if anyone would pickup on their names. They do fit the poem to a T.... Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer We're a notorious couple of cats As knockabout clowns, quick change comedians Tight-rope walkers and acrobats We have an extensive reputation We make our home in Victoria Grove That is merely our centre of operation For we are incurably given to rove We are very well known in Cornwall Gardens In Launceston Place and in Kensington Square We have really a little more reputation Than a couple of cats can very well bear If the area window is found ajar Or the basement looks like a field of war If a tile or two comes loose on the roof Which presently fails to be waterproof If the drawers are pulled out from bedroom chests And you can't find one of your winter vests If after supper one of the girls Suddenly misses her Woolworth pearls The family will say, 'It's that horrible cat! 'Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer?' And most of the time they leave it at that Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer Have a very unusual gift of the gab We are highly efficient cat burglars as well And remarkably smart at the smash and grab We make our home in Victoria Grove We have no regular occupation We are plausible fellows who like to engage A friendly policeman in conversation When the family assembles for Sunday dinner Their minds made up that they won't get thinner On Argentine joint, potatoes and greens Then the cook will appear from behind the scenes And say in a voice that is broken with sorrow 'I'm afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow 'For the joint has gone from the oven like that!' The family will say, 'It's that horrible cat! 'Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer?' And most of the time they leave it at that Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer Have a wonderful way of working together And some of the time you would say it was luck And some of the time you would say it was weather We go through the house like a hurricane And no sober person could take his oath Was it Mungojerrie? Or Rumpleteazer? Or could you have sworn that it mightn't be both? And when you hear a dining room smash Or up from the pantry there comes a loud crash Or down from the library there comes a loud ring From a vase that was commonly said to be Ming Then the family will say: 'Now which was which cat? It was Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer! And there's nothing at all to be done about that! If they're out of our sight for even a few minutes, no telling what they're going to get into.... here they decided that our last roll of toilet paper would be a fun cat toy!

Wasn't even going to post here until we found that Starr had stolen our pet! His name is Woody, not Sandy and he is a three year old Bichon/Cocker mix. Here he is with some of his many friends. Also shown is his best friend our 11 year old Cocker/Poodle mix who thinks she is a Fire Dog and who loves to roll and romp in mud. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL967/3752313/7741991/101904685.jpg http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL967/3752313/7741991/101904450.jpg Good running all. This pic of Woody - I call it the "E.T." pose. Reminds me of the scene in the movie when E.T. is "hiding" in a closet and the mother opens the door and he is in the middle of stuffed animals....and she does not notice him. Very, very clever!!!Starr - maybe they are related......Woody had been abandoned on the side of the road...not far from the freeway. He was just a few weeks old - not even old enough to adopt yet. Sad for him, good for us. Have a good day! Vicki ------------------ "There is no satisfaction without a struggle first." - Marty Liquori

Maconmoves pic seems to come and go. After stating yesterday that I could see it, it went away. I just checked again and it is there. I haven't started drinking yet either . . . .

Mary - You are not going crazy,,,,I can see his picture on my PC at work, but not at home. Maybe it depends on the operating system. Steve - I love your lowland sheepdog. I think she has forgump's hairdo. Jim & Vicki - Woody and Sandy could be related, but I guess that's not very likely. Too funny to have look-alikes. I am glad you rescued him. All the pet pics are so cute, what fun to see, the cats haven't made me sneeze once yet, either!

Great photos Brinkerhof! Do you hunt with him too? Those wood floors are gorgeous too - we just moved from our 100+ year old house that had floors exactly like that. They don't make em' like that anymore.

Our friend has a vizla pup about 1 yo. He is a darling but quite an energetic handful. I bet Paavo would be a good running dog.

We run every day, 5-8 miles. He's a great companion. No hunting, but he has an excellent nose and he does have his junior hunting title. He's getting close to finishing to be a champ in AKC shows. I don't show him, the breeder does, as it was part of our agreement when I bought him.

In case anyone wonders, "Who put the 'pug' in puglogic?" here he is: That's Ike, my oddly logical friend, hiking buddy, watchdog, tug-o-war artist and canine agility dog extraordinaire. He can run with me for short distances in the cooler seasons, but mostly he holds down the fort and gives me the grand post-heroic-journey greeting when I get back from my runs. I don't have a pic of his big brother Eddie (white shepherd) but if I find one I'll post it.

puglogic - what an adorable picture!!! I love, love, love pugs! Unfortunately, my husband feels completely opposite so we have a giant yellow lab. I love him, too, but every time he table surfs, I remind my husband that a pug could not reach the table! Edited to add that I just noticed your other dog is named Eddie. That's my lab's name, too! My son named him after the cartoon Ed, Edd and Eddy. He acts about as goofy as the characters. [This message has been edited by twoleftfeet (edited Jul-14-2005).]
