Such wonderful Goldens and look at Oscar!

Johnnystella7, pictures please!

I will ignore egret.

runrgrl1, now that's a lurker I like!

I posted this on the daily thread, but here's Timmy again. After a few charges at the horses, he's quite civil with them now.

And, just because, this is FlyingFinn's dog and her post in the daily thread:

...Today I ran on the trail for over 2 hours with a very fit, very handsome blonde who was in the parking lot when I arrived. He wasn't quite as good looking as the young man I ran with here a few weeks ago, but he was very polite, kept giving me sideways glances as if to say "Are you still doing OK?" We stopped after about 5 miles on the bridge where I keep my water. I offered him one of my 3 rock hard shot blocks but he spit it out. I thought of offering him some water from my bottle but he wasn't that cute. I envied some of his abilities today, being able to swiftly run on four legs, and easily lifting a leg up against a tree when necessary. We made it back to the bridge after 10.31 miles for a 12:37 pace. He found the shot block in the snow and I sat down on the bridge to watch him chew it for several minutes. Weather report for Rose: 8 with wind chill feeling like -4 when I started, 12 with chill feeling like 1 at the end.

pmcneb, by a strange coincidence my dog is also Guinness. She doesn't look a bit like yours (who is, by the way, adorable).

This is my DS and DD1 with her on the first day of school this Fall. Guinness is getting on in age - will be 12 this summer.

Guiness looks happy to be with her kids even if they are missing some teeths Oscar is a very appropriate name for that cutie and of course we can never get enough of Timmy. Did we have a birthday thread for Timmy?

Runnrgrl, I have a MUCH bigger picture of Woody with the shades, I made it smaller for the thread. If you want the big one email me and I will send it to you.

Thanks, but the one you posted worked out perfectly for my background. It makes me smile every time I log on! I'll have to find pics of my Border Collie, Domino, and post them............Or rather have my 15 year old post them. I'm sure I couldn't do it on my own .

Thanks for putting that picture up, and I'd love to claim that dog as my own, but I just met him on the trail that day. He was lovely to run with. He was a yellow lab with a radio collar which obviously hadn't been working. You know how thick-necked labs are! Anyway, we lost our beloved lab (a chocolate) Hershey a couple years ago, so it was a joy to run with this one. When I got ready to leave he tried to get in my car. As I drove off he followed my car for a little bit, and barked. <<sigh>> I miss having a dog.

Aww, FF, Hershey was beautiful. Personally, I would have kept the yellow lab.

I rescued two running partners thru this site. Just put in your desired breed and zipcode so you're not too limited.

I got a new camera for Valentine's Day - my wonderful husband surprised me . . . . so I had to take a photo of my favorite running buddy. He's asking permission to climb into my lap - of course I granted his wish:

What a sweet face. Good thing he gets permission to jump on your lap . Isn't it wonderful to have a running partner who is always there for you?

This is why you do not run with a beagle. We never get anywhere.

Patty, the Beagle comment is so true! They're my favorite dog breed, but they pretty much go wherever their nose leads.

We refer to Howie, one of our cats, as a Beaglecat. Whenever he sneaks outside (he's supposed to be an indoor cat), he spends hours just sniffing everything.

I'll play...

This is Midnight (a.k.a: Middie or The M-Dawg). She's around 4 years-old, a mostly-black, mostly-lab from the rescue shelter.

Middie runs 6 miles at 8:30 pace pretty comfortably - of course, with a few "comfort stops" along the way, each followed by a sprint so we can catch up with the group because she needs to be in front.

She's got pretty good group protocol - staying close to my left knee and not weaving amongst others - we always run on leash. She very bad with other dogs though, so I have to stay on the lookout for unleashed "friends" and keep her under tight control.

We took Hailey camping with us last weekend and our camp ground was right along a river. Last year when we had her testing for hunting ability - she would have nothing to do with swimming, so when Mr.Hopeful decided to take her over for a swim, I was quite shocked when she came back all wet. It ended up being a great swimming weekend for her! :-)

Gotta get the stick!!

Gotta get the stick back to mom so she can throw it again, and again, and again . . . .

Boy, am I tired!!
