PBJ was kind enough in another thread to tell us how he got his handle. One member thought it stood for peanut butter and jelly (I thought so too). Now of course we know we have a Pinball Wizard among us! What about the rest of you? It would be fun to know where all those weird handles come from? Kudzu? Bob Catt? We're waiting. Let's hear from everyone. Spareribs

Mine comes from my faith in Christ, just something that was easy to remember. Also something to keep reminding me of why I am here.

Years ago at work, when they found out I was training for a marathon, they started to call me "Marathon Mike", so I just shortened it to 26pt2 (26 point 2).

ok, here's the story...During my first week or two at college I became friends with another transfer student on the cross-country team. He was a sophomore and I was a junior and both of us were in-eligible to race because of transfer rules. He ran his freshman year at Arkansas and due to injuries decided to transfer back to his hometown and run for his old highschool coach who had become the x-country and track coach at the local college. When my friend was at Arkansas he got to know a tennis player by the name of Chip Hooper. One day during a workout he told me that I looked like Chip Hooper. Many people heard him make the comment and before you knew it I was "Chip". It was really a stupid joke because Chip Hooper is an African-American and I'm a fair-skinned, reddish haired guy with a British and French heritage. Well it stuck. One common variant of Chip was Chipster, thus the handle. In case anyone is curious, my friend is Steve Delano. He was a multiple KS highschool state champion in x-country and track and at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS, Steve was the NAIA National X-Country champ in '82 and '83. He also won a few Nat'l NAIA track titles. His list of running accomplishments was far, far longer than mine. chipster [This message has been edited by chipster (edited Jan-27-2005).]

Sorry, kinda boring too. My name is Dave Rounsevelle, thus; drounsevelle. Boring but original. Not many Rounsevelle's around but my mother told me that there are a few on the East Coast. I was born and raised in Oregon, but live in Utah now. Our family story is long and kinda interesting; our name was originally Webster and the story goes that some got beheaded long ago and the family changed its name. Now where they got that long alphbit soup from... Dave

Okay, husband of mine, littlerockgm....I shall share. I use my license plate....which signifies mickey mouse established 1928. I happen to be a mickey mouse collector(no doubt littlerockgm can validate this!) I started collecting in 1977. I always wear a mm watch and ring...and usually a rhinestone or pearl pin to work.(All about image - and it is expected of me) Not too long ago, littlerockgm remodeled the bathroom...it was his idea...of course, mm, red and yellow with wall border. He did a magnificent job! The house and my office - what great places to be - surrounded with such a happy character. And, thanks, littlerockgm....for your support and enthusiasm!!! When I moved to Oxford, MS from NYC in August 2002, I was a mad table tennis player and wasn't even thinking about re-entering my running habit. But I got bit by the bug in December 2002 and by the spring I was in full flower.Spring in North Mississippi is all about green: in particular, fragrant green Kudzu vines that start snaking down out of the trees and warping across the back roads. You feel like the tendrils are actually going to reach out and grab you. I fell in love with those back roads, fell in love with the Kudzu--the color and the smell--and so when I came across this website in the summer of '03, I went with what was working for me. Adam
