Someone already had "Elaine" so...
Well, my Marine son is covered with tattoos and he started smoking - he kept trying to get his Dad, his brother and me to get a tattoo - I told him I would if he quit smoking and last year I got a butterfly (of my own design - it's body is their initials [they are all "SEC"] with bright blue and pink and red wings - in the center of my breastbone - it hurt like heck and is the size of a quarter) I drew the butterfly tattoo because I want to continue to grow - from a caterpillar into a butterfly

Well my Marine Corps son is covered with tattoos and he kept trying to get his Dad, his brother and me to get one. He also picked up the nasty little habit of smoking - so I told him if he quit, I'd get one. Last year I got a butterfly (of my own design - it's body is their initials [they are all "SEC"] with bright blue, pink and red wings) about the size of a quarter in the center of my breastbone and it hurt like heck! I like the butterfly because I want to continue to grow and change (from a caterpillar to a butterfly) and their initials because they are the center of my world

I used to be Rindaroo - a fun name - now I'm Live and Learn because this is the way I live my life.. plus with the asthma I keep relapsing & continue to live & learn through this process. Someday when I get back to running like before, I'll feel like Rindaroo again..

Butterfly - how cool! I have a butterfly tattoo too - its on my stomach, right above the bikini line. I got it after a lost some weight through WW, to signify the my blossoming after the age of 40 (into exercise, into better eating habits, being nicer to myself, etc.) 2 of my WW friends & I got the same butterfly, different colors, different sizes.. mine is about the size of a quarter too.. theirs are HUGE! lol

My name is John Maas.
I see no need to use a handle on these forums, since the people here seem very sincere and trustworthy.
I know, .....it's kind of boring not to have a handle.

Hey Live and Learn - this is too funny - I work for Weight Watchers! I joined when I weighed more at age 39 than I did when I gave birth to both my boys and have been with them (and at goal - Yessssss!) for 6 years now.

I've contacted CR tech supp by email about changing my handle but they don't answer. My questions were:

1. How do I change it?

2. Will changing handle have any affect on my being able to edit user profile?

I want to change to "Jim1946" (firstname, year born)

I don't think it's possible to change it. Some here have just created a new profile to get a new name, but their old posts and anything related to them remain.

Jim - I think to change your handle you would have to sign in as a new user and create a new account. I'm not sure there is a way to just change it but keep all the info you may associated with your current user name, like running log info, etc. You'd basically have to start over from scratch.

I used to be a soldier (I retired from active duty 3 years ago), so SFC is Sergeant First Class and H is the first initial of my last name. Been using it for years.

This is a screen name I've used since 2000. I was with TWA for 12 years, flying the Boeing 717. American Airlines bought us but never operated the 717.

AA717driver identifies me as former TWA, now at AA and a pilot--at least if you're an airline geek like me and most of my friends... Tim C.

I think you are correct runner in rochester.

I remember when I was "irunslowly" I just created my new self and kept the "irunslowly" log until I speeded up.

I remember when WRFB was *******
and when Dark Horse was ********
and when Nighthawk42 was *********
and when Live and Learn was ********
and when BTY was Better Than Yesterday was bisquitlabista or some such...

Who else morphed?

I wasn’t smart enough to come up with a handle and just used my name…

I actually didn’t even see the community section of this site until I had already created my user name, etc.

Oh well… Probably best this way. If I had to think of a handle I’d probably still be thinking…

Canfit is actually short for Canada-Fit, the first running group I joined 3 or so years ago. Similar to USA-Fit. There were three sub-groups - Toronto-Fit, Mississauga-Fit and Oakville-Fit. I happen to live in Mississauga. A better and more accurate handle probably would have been "misfit"!
