I like those choices. Now if my legs will smarten up and let me run I'll likely chose one of those. Thanks for helping me see through your rosecolouredglasess :-)

Besides running I also am an avid fly fisherman. A caddis fly is a type of aquatic insect that we often imitate. This also happens to be my long term nick on a few other boards. This is a great thread full of greta info. see fli

Stumbled upon this while browsing through the threads. My handle comes from playing softball. A fellow teammate once said I made head-first slides look easy. He started calling me ezslider after that and it kind of stuck.

All the ones I wanted were already taken. I couldn't stand lurking anymore, so DH suggest this one. I think he meant obnoxious but he couldn't bring himself to say it.

This is a fun thread. It is getting long and would be good to somehow "clean up".I wanted a name that didn't really say anything and that also would not identify me in any way.........so I picked the name of an old street I used to live on.........with the street number. vista129

A co-worker was bored one day and did anagrams of our names and gave them to us. If you mix the letters, you can spell out my real name: Rachelle Talag. When choosing a registered name, I couldn't get something simple like "chelle" so after five tries, I just used the current anagram. Choosing the other alternative "a regal hellcat" would have been too much.

I don't post much but I read a lot on the site and threads.I have only been running since February '06 so am still fairly new and mileless. My ambition at the moment is to run the Portland Marathon October '07. I started to call myself 5kJill but then decided rather than hold myself back to what I have done to instead propel myself forward into what I will do! My name is Mary though. Jill is my kick a** alter ego. She also climbs mountains but that's another story.

Jill--I just started running this year, too...we'll have to swap stories... my name is a nickname from childhood, started by my father. I'm female but often get confused on threads b/c I use "joey". the rest of the handle is an old family name.

Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish, the "i" at the end of the word denotes small, dainty, beautyful, colorful in my native indian language. So mariposai would mean small, beautyful, colorful butterfly.

Mine's pretty boring too, and not really running related.I have always been a horse lover and now that I have one - I am EqyneOne. The real spelling on equine was too common: I live near Saratoga Springs NY and the horse racing track, so equine-anything is extremely popular. I never thought of a running handle.... hmmm.

I have a cat named diamond. I didn't think about it much when I registered on coolrunning since I generally use my animals' names in passwords. I also have three other cats: Ashley, Angus and Rosie. Plus a rabbit named Bun Bun - the kids named him Peter Rabbit (ugh) but we all call him Bun Bun. Anyway, I like the handle diamondcat now that I see it in print.

I guess I had a little problem posting to this thread when I finally finished reading it. It was going really slowly when I submitted the first time and I ended up with 2 posts (Hate when that happens). During my attempt to delete the extra one it was really slow and I guess I managed to delete both?!?!?Anyway, I'm among the boring many with standard e-mail handle. I have a hard time remembering passwords, so if I throw in a user name to remember, it usually gets forgotten quickly. Besides, when I first registered for CR, it was just for the log. I had no idea how fun and addicting the forums would be And that that I should have been creative.

I guess diamondcat and I had the same problem. I was just a lot less patient, as I ended with 6 posts that I thought weren't going out. I think they're all gone now.

The delay and general unresponsiveness of the site is due to the "Sponsored By" thingy on the right. I've gotten several error messages today about the Adobe Flash Plyaer 9 movie script going haywire.
